AHG Dream's Bay Beach Hotel - Adults Only

We loved the experience of staying in a boutique hotel - it truly felt like home after a few days! You leave your room and you reach the pool, the beach, and the restaurant in less than a minute. The rooms are comfy, clean, and nicely decorated. The pool is quite small, but serves the purpose. The location is ideal for a holiday by the sea, whereas all major day trips require at least a 75-minute drive from the hotel. On the other hand, Mnemba Island is just opposite the hotel. The staff are nice and always ready to offer a smile!

It would be nice to see vegetarian options among the main courses in the menu to meet everyone’s needs. Apart from this, the food is nice, prepared with fresh ingredients.

Pool area is nice and cocktails are good.

We were disappointed with our stay. Pictures of the room aren't accurate, in real life rooms are old and worn-out. Sheets and towels are stained. Most of the staff are nice, but some of them were rushing us during the lunch and dinner service - they were asking if they can take the plate while we were still eating. Food is okay, but really small portions and if you have all inclusive there are no snacks in between. I wouldn't recommend to go to the beach in front of the hotel. Maybe if we didn't pay almost 800€ for 3 days. All in all not worth the money.

Thank you to everyone, from those who took care of the reservation once made through booking.com, to the people at the reception, maintenance, gardening, kitchen, restaurant, security, cleaning and of course the hotel manager, who is always present, and prioritises the satisfaction of each of his guests. If you are looking for a place to relax in Zanzibar, away from the noisy and touristy places, a place to enjoy good food, with good service and above all an incredible willingness of everyone to make your holiday unforgettable, ah! adults only :-). If you want peace and quiet and no tourists, you are far from everything..... but....you can't have everything. Expensive taxis. 1h15m driven $60 (distance from the airport or Nungwi area to the hotel). No supermarket or exchange service near the hotel.

A wonderful boutique hotel on the beach with a beautiful view of the sea. The staff is extremely kind and attentive. They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable, and they find a solution to your every request. The hotel manager is available at any time and helps you personally if you need it. The dinner is a 4-course menu, which can be chosen from a variety of very delicious dishes. The rooms and the pool area are extremely clean. By the end of our vacation, we felt like family members in this beautiful small hotel in Zanzibar. We would like to return.

We absolutely loved our week at this beautiful, boutique hotel. From the friendly staff, to the stunning views- everything was perfect. Our rooms were cleaned twice a day, and the rest of the facilities were always also in great condition… We loved the free bike hire as we got to explore the beaches and nearby villages by bike… The beach is private compared to many other beaches on the island. Despite there being urchins , if you have aqua shoes - you can definitely swim - and the walk out to the reefs- the water is crystal clear! We discovered some lovely beach bars and restaurant very near by - by foot and bike. The Beach Boys and hotel offer lovely excursions - one being to Mnemba island - the most popular snorkeling spot which is very close by… They had three nights of entertainment during / after dinner which was lovely too.

We really have no complaints about this beautiful hotel- but wouldn’t mind a pillow upgrade on our return :)

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable, thanks in large part to the outstanding service. The hotel and beach were wonderfully tranquil, providing a peaceful escape without the usual hustle and bustle of salespeople and tourists. Highly recommended for a serene and relaxing getaway!
