"Fantastic"

Rie is the most hospitable person with a great knowledge of the local area. She has a sparkling personality always ready to help with any questions. Left feeling we had made a new friend. Can’t recommend highly enough

"Decent property that needs repairs with a not great host but in a great location"

1.0

It was spacious and cosy

Things were falling apart like the door handles, the kitchen tap. A fellow guest got stuck outside their room because the door handle got stuck. The “breakfast” was essentially a bunch of kitchen staples that you could help yourself to. The guest fridge which was supposed to have berries - had a bunch of rotten and mouldy fruits when I opened it on day 1. The dryer didn’t work from when I came and the host went into a flurry of accusations which came across as quite desperate. I just offered to pay and left the property. Before I left the house keeper said the dryer hadn’t been working before I arrived. So I felt quite cheated all in all by the host, especially by a person who is meant to be running “retreats”. I didn’t bother questioning her as I thought she probably needed the money if she came across that strongly with accusations without checking the facts.

"Beautiful & convenient not perfect but comes close."

8.0

It was clean and welcoming.

Parking can get difficult as you’re parking in a line on a slim drive. We had to wake up other guests to let us out as we had an early start. But trade off with proximity to town is worth it.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Lovely room in a bed and breakfast within easy walking distance from Glastonbury high street, challace well, white spring and Glastonbury Tor. Bus also stops outside for city of wells. Rie and the housekeeper made us feel really welcome. The house and gardens were gorgeous and had a very peaceful feeling. We met some lovely international guests during our stay and there were lots of options for breakfast. Parking onsite access to the kitchen and laundry facillites were really handy too. The other rooms in the house are just as nice and there is the option to book the whole house on occasion with extra sleeping facilities for up to 10 people if utilising futons in the living spaces. Ideal for running a retreat. Rie offers reasonably priced meals if pre arranged too. Loved it

"Cosy, welcoming, enjoyable !"

It was clean, spacious and happy to freely roam and feel like you had visited once before. All amenities were beautifully looked after by Rie. Rie was very informative about Glastonbury and the surrounding area. Rie made you feel like you were an old friend visiting on arrival. Wonderful stay
