Location is wonderful, right near beach and pub Room spacious and clean

No soap or shampoo provided for shower or bath.This Was not mentioned on web site so when we returned from beach to have shower It was a big inconvenience and irritation We paid £90 per night in June mid week and feel at this price,soap and shampoo should be a basic standard. For us £90 a night is a lot of money so really disappointed and what I can only think of a meanness not to provide basic soap and shampoo. There was liquid hand wash at the sink but this had been watered down and just enough for a few hand washes and certainly not good enough . The plug in bath did not work

We were not at all happy that every morning we were loudly woken up, at 8am, by the cafe opening downstairs directly below our room. As we were on a holiday to relax, we did not appreciate this at all!! From 8am every morning the staff downstairs made so much noise, it woke us up, and made it impossible to go back to sleep. All of the staff were talking to each other by shouting at each other across the whole of downstairs. The hoover went on for ages, and was being banged into all the furniture. The coffee machine was so loud, and I still have nightmares about the stupid banging of each drink being made. Banging, clanking of everything being done in the kitchen, all the doors being left to bang shut. There was a cupboard right outside our room, which was being used for storage of cafe stuff. The staff came up and down the stairs right past our room constantly, going into the cupboards right outside our door, banging and slamming the drawers each time they were opened and closed. Staff also seemed to really enjoying standing outside our room, and just having private conversations amongst themselves, again talking really loudly. I don't think the staff could have made any more noise if they tried. Either the staff were not made aware that guests were staying - in which case the owners are not providing this information to the cafe staff - which is necessary. OR, the staff knew there were guests staying directly above them, and they simply did not care. Either way it is simply not acceptable, and made the stay so unpleasant that I would advise anybody TO NOT STAY HERE! The property information states that there is free WiFi. In the 5 days we were here, there simply was NO Internet. It simply didn't work, the signal was non existent. The whole building (including our room), had a horrible, old musty smell. All bedding & towels smelt horrible.
