Sosuite at The Loxley - Old City

Excellent location and we found street parking right in front. Place was spacious and beautiful! Perfect place to stay for a visit to Philly!

Good location and quite spacious two room apartment with small kitchen and washing machine.

Our apartment was dirty with lots of hair and dust on the floor, the bed linen had some stains on. Even though Sosuite offered to reclean the apartment and later to refund the cleaning fee, this should not happen. The kitchen was not equipped well, it only has small pans, no kitchen towels, no toaster or other basic amenities. It looks like it's not intended for actual use. Which is a pitty, as the apartment has lots of potential. Also did the kitchen only have three (high) chairs, so if four people want to eat, one has to stand... Internet was slow on the fifth floor and hence the "smart" TV did not work. Windows are super thin and you can hear a lot from the street down below. We were there Sunday and Monday, which was ok noise wise. But on weekends, I would not want to stay there. While the apartment looked promising, in my opinion this is an example of "bad" tourism and gentrification gone wrong. Especially with the touchless concept (only text-based communication), which in theory sounds nice, this felt like a soul-less experience.

Location was excellent. Close to attractions but also quiet. It was clean, spacious and comfortable.

WiFi was… really bad. Did not support TV, internet browsing, etc.

When booking the room for my elderly mother in law (who is not familiar and leery of city life), I was concerned about not having an in-person front desk staff. To those with similar concerns…please have no worries. First, the rooms are secure, beautiful, and well stocked…all your needs are met. More importantly, the customer service and response time to our calls and texts by the Sosuite at The Loxley was better than any in-person hotel I have experienced.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

There were 2 beds and 1 couch. The living room was made into a "bedroom" or sleeping area so you can't really hang out in the living room and then have the privacy of a bedroom. The private bedroom is on the opposite side of the apt and is so tiny, it's claustrophobic. No windows, etc. A suggestion would be to make the living room a living room with a pull-out sofa. The setup was very awkward for a group a friends.

In from out of state to visit friends and family. Hotel is very convenient to a part of Center City Philadelphia that is very vibrant, with great shopping and restaurants! Issue I had was that my hotel room was not ready at check-in as it was not yet cleaned. We had to drive around for an hour and a half before we were able to check in - barely made our scheduled dinner on time. Facility offered inadequate consideration for our inconvenience, even though hotel would have charged a meaningful penalty if we check in early or he led out late. Unit we were assigned was in the basement - as such, no windows. No parking offered, which would have been convenient. I parked my car 1 1/2 blocks away for about $35/day.

Tiny detail was there were no washcloths
