Hale Hahalua - Serenity and Ocean Views in Kailua-Kona at Keauhou Akahi

This place was an absolute dream. From the spacious, airy living area, through the fully and very thoughtfully equipped kitchen and bathrooms, to the unbelievable lanai with friendly geckos... Between the comfort and the views we had right there, we sometimes had a hard time getting out of the condo to actually explore the island. The hosts communicated really well, providing all the info before and during our stay. The parking place was right outside the house. The AC was only available in the bedroom (and it worked well), but with the ceiling fans and the open windows, the temperature was fine throughout the whole place. We wished we could have stayed much longer.

Amazing view, our favorite part was sitting at the balcony and watching the sunset while having a drink. The kitchen is so well equipped, the bed is super comfortable, the A/C works perfectly, the place is well maintained, communication with the hosts is good, we had an amazing time and I definitely recommend this place, lovely. Hosts were also super polite and friendly.

Check-in was at 10am, could have been at 11 or 12am, but they were flexible in moving it to later, minor detail.

Property had so many amenities and location was excellent. Was also clean and had everything that you would need.

Great location with beautiful sunsets every night. Everything possible that we could need was there.

The sheets on the bed!!! Quickzip sheets are a must …… we struggled with the bedsheets, every single night sliding off the corners of the bed because of the plastic covering the mattress.

When I looked at this unit online, it looked so beautiful, but I suspected it would not look like that in real life. I was wrong. It was absolutely gorgeous. We loved it so much. It was immaculate!

There was literally not a single thing I would change. We loved our stay and would certainly stay here again in the future.

Spacious one bedroom unit. Good LG washer and dryer combination. Good kitchen and extras supplied. Nice to have two bathrooms.

Location - Top floor with four flights of stairs to climb. This should be advertised upfront instead of not mentioned or hidden as struggle when are travelling with large heavy suitcases. Air conditioning is a window unit located in the bedroom only and struggled to cool the room down. Using the airconditoning required the window to be left open and bedroom door closed. So rest of apartment warm\did not get cooled down. Make sure you find out the unit and car park number. This information was not provided and on arrival had to make call to hosts to find out where to go once at address. Other points of note: As there is no awning can be difficult to sit on verandah as sun beams in. Lighting in lounge opposite TVs in small chairs is by lamp only. Fan control remotes are not numbered so had some challenges working out lights and fans on arrival. Need car at this location.
