Direct Oceanfront Mauna Loa Shores Honu Elua #508 next to Carlsmith Beach park, Hilo HI

The proximity to the beach was amazing. The deck was very nice

The closets were cluttered with paint cans, fans, etc leaving minimal room for us

Location, location, location! Comfortable accommodations… right next to one of the best parks on the island.

Lovely well equipped condo in a great location. Located at Carlsmith Beach, which was unbelievably beautiful and there is a view of it from the condo lanai. Hosts were great communicators. Definitely would recommend this condo to anybody wanting to stay at Hilo. Great location for people wanting to explore the rain forests and Volcano National Park or simply sit on the lanai and admire the view! Thank you!

No washer/dryer in condo, although there was a community washer/dryer down the hall.

The screened lanai was great! Location/view was great. The bathroom was recently upgraded. The bedrooms/living room were clean and comfortable. The master AC and ceiling fans kept the unit cool.

The kitchen could use a good cleaning( mat / placards/ salt & pepper shakers, etc.) and some kitchen essentials such as cooking oil would also be nice. Due to no washer/dryer in the unit, more bath towels were needed. The beach towels were old and dingy and could be upgraded.

Location : close to the airport, downtown Hilo, Carlsmith beach park, Volcano National Park The apartment is well equipped.

Cleanliness

The view, screened in porch, nice details like a water filter in a pitcher, easy use of a coin washer ( they even left the quarters for the 1st load), parking and a great restaurant right across the street. Right next door to a beautiful protected cove for swimming.

Nothing except maybe finding the lock box with the key might have been difficult if the lovely house cleaner hadn’t been right there to help.
