"Pleasant"

6.0

The place was quite big with two bedrooms living room and kitchen. The location was ok with a bus stop nearby and quiet neighbourhood.

Although it looked seemingly clean the living room smelled of cigarettes and the whole place didn't entirely look as nice as in the pictures. The front of the house was not maintained with bins all over... It was ok, but would I stay again ...nope... I was not really thrilled the vibe was just off for me 🤣

"Absolute dump. Do not stay here."

1.0

Nothing.

This place is an absolute dump, overflowing bins and rubbish left all over the place. Disgusting. No useable facilities, no toilet roll, damp and mould all over. Had to leave early and stay somewhere else. Owner doesn’t respond to messages and delayed check in by 6 hours with no notice.

"Great property for contractors and families"

We booked this property for work. It had some lovely homely touches and was equipped with everything we needed for a 2 night stay.

The location is good. Probably around 30 mins drive from city centre and there is on site parking. Area seemed safe enough.

On entering the property there was no instructions re WiFi, pull out bed. We didn’t know how to work this. There were no remote controls and we could t get tvs upstairs working. The host did say to download a remote control tv app but it would be better if there were instructions or an information booklet.

"Reasonable 2 bedroom place if you need to be in that part of town."

5.0

PIN code that came on email was incorrect but was easy to call host Adam to get correct code and he was friendly and helpful. House is basically a terrace in the middle of a council estate - if you are sensitive about these things you should check Google Streetview first. Location worked for us as we were attending a sports event for the weekend at Harvey Hadden which was about 8 mins drive away. The house basically looks like one from 'Homes Under The Hammer' that has been done up on a budget in about 4 weeks or one my student kids would be happy in. The beds were comfy and the central heating worked well - but this is by no means a 'luxury' stay. It is absolutely fine if you accept it for what it is. I'd far rather have this than 3 of us squeezed into a hotel room.

Luckily we had read the reviews first: the kitchen is bizarrely ill equipped - there was one pan with a lid too small and one oven dish and that was it in terms of utensils. We brought our own sieve (!) and then bought a few other cheap essentials from the supermarket with the groceries. The fridge-freezer was nice and clean and looked new, as did the toaster/kettle/washing machine/tumble dryer. Don't expect any provisions, tea/coffee, cleaning/washing up stuff etc that you might have seen in other rentals. (Note: to be clear there are plates/bowls/cutlery/cups/glasses - although drinking a glass of wine out of a tumbler was the only choice) The bathroom and shower were good - but a bath mat would have been welcome. The bedrooms have no hangers/wardrobes so you live out of your suitcase. The guests immediately before us complained about plenty of things, including 'noise' - note this is a terraced house and there is obviously a family next door and we could hear the children in the evening through the walls, but it was hardly a mad party going on all night. The whole house was reasonably clean but the cleaner had not managed to find and pick up the abandoned pair of pants that the previous people complained about and they were still there waiting for us.... The road itself is very quiet. A guest info book wouldn't go amiss - we had to find the fuse board when the electrics tripped after we switched on the tumble dryer and a guide to what should go into each of the massive collection of wheelie bins would have been helpful.

"Awful- avoid at all costs"

1.0

Nothing!

The whole stay was awful. It's in an unsafe area. Loud houses adjoined to the property partying and shouting all night. Broken glass and rubbish all round the property. The property was dirty, dirty underwear found under the bed, very little utensils, everything was dusty or mouldy. Broken chairs, awful WiFi (that only Got fitted half way through stay) Brc's uncomfortable and the whole property smelt dirty and damp. Avoid like the plague!!!!
