Being next door to a restaurant, as noisy at night

The house was gorgeous, and really well decorated. VERY Charming. Location was fabulous, and the correspondence and responsiveness of the host property mgt was perfect.

1. the area was noisy after 10PM still with young people headed back from bars 2. there was no A/C which was a real problem the days we were there. I'm sure it wasn't advertised as having it and I should have thought of that, but without air or fans, it was really hot. 3. I assumed there would be soap and shampoo in all the baths and kitchen, and it was really sparce. 4. we picked this home midway through our 2 week journey specifically because of the washer/dryer and knowing we could pack lightly and do laundry at the mid-point of our trip. If you are coming from the US, please be aware that although there IS a washer/dryer, it is a single unit that says it does both in the same machine, but A - it holds about 2 people's worth of clothes for a day, and B - it takes 6 hours to run the cycle, as I don't think the dryer uses air - it seems to just be an endless spin cycle to dry it. Basically I figured we could do 5 peoples clothes in a few loads, but we ended up being able to do almost no laundry given the ultra-low capacity and extremely long cycle time. I know this was very specific to what we were expecting, and it was NOT false advertised at all but would be a shock to other US visitors expecting a W/D.

Very comfortable, beautifully decorated and clean, the location was so very close to many of the popular attractions

Just a few little things, the stairs to the top floor are narrow and steep. The downstairs cloakroom really did not work and with such steep stairs it would have been a useful toilet if anyone in the party has mobility issues

No fans as was very hot , opened windows but a lot of noise, didn’t get much sleep

A thoroughly delightful property! The property was self contained so breakfast was not provided. However the wonderful kitchen and facilities enabled us to make any meals we wished. Lots of space and the multi-level lay-out ensured privacy for both couples. Fabulous location in central York. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay at No 4 again.

This entire property was spotless and ideal for our situation. The Eco flushing toilet downstairs was new to us. Because we were unfamiliar with eco flushing toilets it appeared to be blocked to us. This was not an issue however as the property had two other bathrooms so we just didn’t use the downstairs bathroom.

Great location for all sightseeing in York, restaurants etc. would recommend the Tapas restaurant next door and the sandwich shop on opposite corner. The house is generally well kept and clean except for the garden area.

Downstairs toilet was not flushing away which was reported immediately but remained a problem for the whole stay. Only one hand towel in upstairs bathroom between 4 adults. Single beds were small width which not ideal for large adults. Building work to outside wall and change of internet arranged while we were there and did have an impact.

This place was spotless and decorated so stylishly. The mattresses were extremely comfortable on every bed. We were lucky enough to have great weather and the courtyard was the perfect place for breakfast. We loved the location it's so close to everything and felt very safe. I highly recommend this accomodation.

Nothing. It was perfect

Thoughtful items such as scones, jam and cream were left for us, lovely after our long drive.

The stairs were a little hazardous on level 2 for older family members travelling with us. The steps to level 3 were quite steep, but we managed.

Beautifully furnished, kitchen was great. Master bedroom gorgeous.

Would have loved a kitchen roll /paper towels to be provided.

The most beautifully designed and decorated property I’ve stayed in. Comfortable, homely and stylish throughout.

There’s an eco-flush toilet on the ground floor of the property that operates a little differently from normal toilets but there’s ample signage to help!
