"Once was enough!"

Location! It is in a good location for St James Park.

The sockets and bedside lamps did not work. The bathroom was a wet room, but the water did not clear properly. The fire exit was blocked with mattresses. There were boxes everywhere which I presume were to do with the attached chinese restaurant. There was no WiFi, I was given the password but after entering it I got the message "access denied"

"Pleasant stay in central Newcastle on a budget."

This apartment far exceeded our expectations, reading a few of the other reviews we weren't expecting much but everything was very pleasant. A decent (comfy) bed, clean bedding, clean towels, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/handwash in the bathroom. Heated towel rail. Kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, milk. Hairdryer. Fan. Plenty of coat hangers/storage space. Free wifi. And it was quite quiet. Just the usual noises when people in the other apartments came/went (as with any Travelodge or Premier Inn). Not too much street noise. Radiator under our control for the temperature in the room.

A TV would have been lovely but it really wasn't that important. Perhaps a bigger towel too, the two towels we were given, whilst clean and functional were too small for a 6 foot man to dry himself effectively with after a shower.

"Avoid."

Quiet and central.

We booked room 305, but were given 304. The room is totally run down, wallpaper falling down. Fire alarm over door looked broken, we didn‘t feel safe. Checked the fire escape route: You have to run down stairs in a staircase that is a construction site. An actual mushroom grew in a moist corner under the window. Bed sheets didn‘t look clean, rather pre-used - we slept in our clothes. Towels were smelly. Worst stay I ever had.
