Aircond not service maybe. Two nights, the aircond temp was 17 but there’s only wind and not cold at all. Broken shower. Overall acceptable

Where to start!!! It is located in quite a dodgy area. Behind it lies derelict ground and a steel fence which backed right on to the “hut” we were to stay in. An unfriendly welcome from staff. Trying to boss us around. Stopped checking us in for someone else because they decided they were more important. Our hut out the back had a floor mattress with no bed frame. 2 of the shutter windows were unable to be kept closed as the flimsy bolts appeared to have been forced open too May times and not replaced. We asked for a room inside as did not feel that this was safe for us. Initially refused, then offered other rooms for an additional fee. Free upgrade refused. There was bad phone reception in the area and the hotel wifi was thought to be very suspect according to my phone but we had no choice to connect. I checked the booking.com site, there were many rooms available. I had insufficient cash and was told I’d have to make a bank transfer via their wifi. I refused. I suggested that a bad review might come from all of this and a room was found for no extra cost. This room had a large window that had its latch removed so there was no way to secure this shut. It was right next to our bed and easily accessed from outside. Staff were unconcerned about this new issue. Offered no solution and we left. This hotel seems VERY dodgy.
