Onong's Homestay & Cafe

The garden where the cottages are is beautiful, the terrace is overlooking the garden, which gives a relaxing atmosphere to the place. The staff is helpful, smiling, talkative and always has good recommendations. Onong arranged a full day tour and a morning tour to see the sunrise from Mt Lokon. We recommend it without reservation. The à la carte breakfast was good and filling. Loved it!

It is a peaceful place. Onong is a fine host who helped us to plan a tour for a day to do by motorbike. Breakfast was good, and the menu had great options. Especially with the homestay being a bit out of town.

Onong’s Homestay is atypical. The owner was really nice and had a particular sense for decoration. Therefore, the place is full of vintage objects and it gives a really cool vibe. The food we were served there was good too. It was very convenient to stay there, rent a motorbike and visit the surroundings. The owner was very flexible when we asked to change room, which we appreciated.

Careful, if you want to stay in a bungalow like shown on the pictures, you have to book the « cottage », and not the « double room ». The double rooms are in fact all aligned in a single corridor and have no windows (not in the corridor nor in the rooms). There is no ventilation in the rooms, the walls are made of bamboos and the windows are just a hole (no glass). So overall it’s humid and noisy. Bathroom could be more confortable. It gets cold at night and the only blanket on the bed is clearly not washed between each guest.

Very nice setting, good food, helpful people who take care of you. Interesting and enjoyable day trips organised by Onong.

Beautiful houses and beautiful jungle-like setting. Breakfast was fine.

Showers did not work in all three cabins we rented and matresses need urgent replacement. Sleeping on them is not easy and one doesn"t sleep well.

Onong's family was very kind and helpful. The bungalows are very nice and the ambience is appealing. The location was also very good and you could reach everything quickly.

We would have liked mosquito nets but as we had brought our own that wasn't a problem.
