Very clean large house in good location.within walking distance of the centre of York. Very convenient for the station. The owner allowed us to leave bags in the morning when we arrived. Great communication from the owner. The house was spacious, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. A great stay

There is a bit of noise from the trains which may bother you if you are a light sleeper but otherwise it was a quiet part of the city

Parking was an issue stated 2 cars could be parked on front when booked. Day before arrival was informed that only 1 car or 2 very small cars could be parked there and any others needed to go to a nearby carpark. This was due to a bungalow at the end of the garden (occupied) having the driveway access and a parking bollard was blocking the drive. We managed to solve the issue but didn't need this on arrival. In reference to the bungalow In the garden I could see it causing issues if it was summer and you wanted to use the garden. No slippers were provided as stated in list. Also one bathroom is located on the ground floor not near the bedrooms. Plenty of tvs but only 2 worked properly.

Location in York is fantastic. Short and pleasant walk along the river to the city. Property is spacious with very good facilities. Beds were very comfortable. Host was very responsive and also allowed us to drop off cases early and leave them on departure day until we needed to go to the station.

It was the beginning of the first cold snap of the winter with snow overnight. The heating was a bit erratic and although it was lovely and warm as we walked in the heating went off and the house cooled down quite quickly. Clearer and visible instructions as to how to manage the heating would be helpful.
