APPLEDOWN - Secluded Rural Retreat in Kingsdown, 10 mins to BEACH

Secluded location, good kitchen, well equipped and clean. Comfortable bed,

Bathroom hygiene not great, had to clean out basin plug as full of gunk and hair to get it to drain, main bathroom damp smelt musty. Local maps of area with walks would have been useful.

Location, location, location, absolutely stunning setting.

There is really nothing to mention about the property itself. The only gripe would be to mention there is a stretch of the farm track that could do with being resurfaced. If you have a 4x4 there vehicle no problem, for standard vehicles there are a lot of ruts and potholes to navigate.

This is a very comfortable home, with a very well equipped kitchen and a lovely sunny garden. Very peaceful location

Very disappointed to find there was only 1 bathroom, when the listing clearly said 2. It has one very nice bathroom, with a bath and shower in it and a small room with a toilet and sink in it.

Everything! The house felt very clean and modern. We loved the spacious rooms and the enclosed garden for our dog.

Wat een heerlijk huis in het groen, met alle privacy die je je kunt wensen! Het is een vrijstaand huis helemaal voor jezelf alleen, met een grote omheinde tuin eromheen en een lekkere loungeplek. Vanuit het huis wandel je door de velden naar Kingsdown of St Margaret, met prachtige uitzichten. Superfijne keuken met uitgebreide mogelijkheden om te koken. Ook heel fijn dat er twee wc’s zijn. Heerlijke douche ook. Wij hebben genoten!

De bedden en banken waren iets te zacht naar onze smaak. Maar verder was alles heel comfortabel!

Rust, ruimte, huisje was erg compleet.

We hadden ruzie met een van de matrassen. We deden elke ochtend de connecties met het bed zelf goed. Klein ongemak.

Location is perfect for staying away from busy life.

The location & accessibility (two disabled people in our group) is so hard to find, a beautiful bungalow with lots of space. The welcome tray was wonderful & generous, very tasty too, having more than one bathroom useful also. The kitchen/diner is large, enough room for large male adults! We had first stayed in December 2023, so didn’t get to use the garden. This time we were able to sit outside in the evening, some mornings too and it was lovely, not too hot and very peaceful, time to recharge.

Couldn’t find a mop to use in the kitchen.
