Upstairs Historic 1 Bedroom 1 Bath Suite with Mini-Kitchen, Porch & River Views

Love the history of the place. Meticulously restored interior and privacy of the place. Hosts are very welcoming and provided me with eggs from the coop in the front yard. Overall, I enjoyed my extended weekend visit.

I found mattress to be rather too soft for comfort. Bathroom light is too faint. Taking a shower in the evening is a dimly lit affair, which coupled with precarious claw foot bath 🛁 made me nervous. An led bulb would fix it

My fourth or fifth stay. Always a marvelous experience. Peaceful and quiet. Spacious, clean , charming 19th century ambiance, and the owners have thought of everything. They fill a large filtered water reservoir each time, fully equipped kitchen, even plastic wrap for your refrigerator items. Central AC on hot days. Excellent WIFI. They also leave you deliciious fresh eggs, from the hens in their yard. Nearby Monongahela Forest is a wonderful resource for hiking and scenic views. Coming back again soon.

I loved the atmosphere! It’s so quiet and peaceful! The small details! The bed and pillows! Wow! And the hosts are amazing and very giving! The location is ideal for a rest.

The only small detail is the bathtub. It’s a little small. Of course, it’s an antique and fits the whole feel of the place!

Fourth stay at this fabulous restored 19th century full floor apartment. Fully equipped kitchen, Victorian sitting area, bedroom, tasteful furniture, quiet location, beautiful river view, thoughtful hosts!

It was all wonderful.

It was quiet and relaxing which was what we wanted. Jamie was great to visit with.

Place full of character and very peaceful - a time machine that works just perfectly. An experience to be repeated.

This is a house meant to take you back in time and to force you to leave behind the business and distraction of modern life - a thing which the place does so excellently. However, in an area where our phones did not had reception at all, I wonder whether a stronger and more stable Internet connection should be a necessary evil, at least just in case of emergencies - wi-fi is weak and unstable (i.e. half of the time without actual Internet connection). This is not a complaint, but a constructive critique based on a personal opinion.

This is my third stay in the wonderful apartment, the entire top floor of a lovely restored 19th century house in the quiet and charming town of Beverly. A full kitchen is provided, with refrigerator, range, microwave, coffee maker, all utensils, pots, pans etc. The apt looks out on a beautiful view of the adjacent creek/river. The owners are wonderful and accommodating. Period furniture and lamps throughout. No TV, but adequate WIFI. A good selection of restaurants is available in nearby Elkins. I discovered the Monongahela National Forest on this trip, which is an enchanting place to walk, camp and meditate (photo below). Only 30 minutes away. I shouldn't say this, because it will elicit more interest and affect dates I may want to reserve in the future, but the value for money is unparalleled for a radius of 100 miles. It even has noiseless central air conditioning!
