"Wonderful Zen Experience"

Beautiful spacious apartment in 19th century restored house. Lovely period furniture and rugs. Fully equipped kitchen. Quiet, in a charming small town, with a nice view of adjacent river. Great value, too. You won't be disappointed.

"Wonderful Full Second Floor Apt in Restored Country House"

I really can't praise this place enough. Spacious accommodations in a restored historic house; the full second floor. Separate entrance, very functional, clean kitchen area and bathroom. All exceptionally clean and 'period'. Lovely period lamps and rugs throughout, nice wooden panelling etc. Even a nice view of the river/stream that runs alongside. The hosts really provide everything, even coffee for the coffeemaker (I brought my own). Beverly is a charming small town. Extremely quiet, despite the owner living on the floor below. Wifi is good. If you want to party, steer clear. But if you want a wonderful place to read and meditate, and even prepare a full meal, which I did, this is the place. Nearby Davis has a distillery that makes good apple brandy, a 'white lightning ' and 'oak aged' variety. Worth a stop. Only downside is that the place is apparently booked now thru August....because I would sure like to return asap. Interaction with Jamie, the owner, very cordial and pleasant. The rate is unbeatable for what you get.

It was ALL wonderful. No complaints!

Jamie was an exceptional hostess even though we did not meet her. I would have liked too. The historic apartment is wonderful, very charming and super clean It way exceeded our expectations. Restored to it's original time period lovingly by her father and furnished period correct, you will have a pleasant stay. All the little things she does like the snacks, coffee are super nice, so if your in the Elkins area please stay in the Lemuel Chenoweth House you will not regret it. We plan on returning shortly Lela & Steve
