There was nothing to like

Prior to arrival, we received an email with instructions assigning us Lock Box 1, Room 1, along with the relevant access code. However, upon arrival, we encountered another guest leaving the property who did not speak English but indicated that he was already staying in Room 1 and had been given the same key assigned to us. Alarmingly, he also had access to the code for Lock Box 2, which he then provided to us so we could gain entry to an alternative room (Room 2). Had this individual not been present, we would have been unable to access the property at all. We attempted to contact the host immediately using the mobile number provided in the email, which specifically stated we could text at any time. Our call went straight to voicemail, and despite sending a text message explaining the situation, we received no response whatsoever. In addition to the access and communication failures, the condition of the room itself was unacceptable: * The room was visibly dirty, with a broken mirror and numerous scratches and marks across the walls. * There was a large leak stain on the ceiling. * Behind the bed were bifold doors leading into a laundry room. From there, a door to the garden had no handle or lock and was left completely open, posing a serious security risk as anyone could enter the property. * The bifold doors themselves were not properly closed or secured and we had to lock them ourselves upon arrival. * The bed was in poor condition, with missing slats. Instead of repairing it, two mattresses had been stacked on top of each other, resulting in a significant dip in the middle and an extremely uncomfortable sleeping experience. * The bathroom was also in a poor state, with visible mould/spores on the walls, peeling plaster on both walls and ceiling, dirty shower heads, mould around the shower area, and no hand soap provided.

Toilet unclean

Nothing, absolutely atrocious.

Do not book here. The TV was off the wall, not working, no input feed possible. No electric sockets, not as advertised. No smoke alarm or fire extinguishers or fire escape marked. When I complained, no response from the landlord, booking. Com were as much use as a chocolate teapot. This a house of multiple occupation, , regulations need to be adhered to, such as testing cpac on common electrical items. This place is a deathtrap waiting for a victim
