49/3 Seafront Duplex Penthouse in Valletta

Honestly that was one of the best places I've ever booked. Appreciated the highest level of privacy eventhough the apartment is located in the very touristic area. The terrace guarantees an amazing view and wonderful escape from the businesses of Valetta.

To make it more perfect I'd suggest adding a coffee machine for one to enjoy morning coffee while relaxing at the terrace.

La situation de l’appartement est exceptionnelle tout près du centre et bénéficiant d’une vue magnifique sur le port. Dans une belle maison maltaise ancienne, c'est un duplex moderne, décoré avec goût. Magique : la grande terrasse où l’on dîne le soir en voyant le coucher de soleil et les bateaux aller et venir.

Le fait de devoir quitter les lieux à 10h du matin (11 h serait mieux) et l’impossibilité de déposer les bagages quelque part en attendant un avion à 19h. Mais effectivement la configuration de la maison ne s’y prête pas. Enfin nous aurions désiré disposer d’un lit d’appoint pour un adolescent mais ce ne fut pas possible.

A vista da varanda do apartamento é deslumbrante. Maravilhosa ! Apartamento bem localizado .

Apartamento antigo, com instalações antigas, piso e portas rangendo e fazendo muito barulho, camas e colchões antigos e desconfortáveis, roupas de cama e de banho extremamente velhas. Água quente acaba rapidamente. A limpeza deixou a desejar bastante . Entrada do prédio, elevador e escadaria em péssimo estado de conservação. Muito ruim mesmo !

The photos of the view from the terrace say it all and it is proximate to Valletta town. In fact it is only a 5 minute walk down an underground tunnel and you are swimming in the Med. The size of the 2 level apartment is excellent.

We accessed the apartment after 4pm via a very small lift, 2 people with bags max. The lower bedroom floor was much cooler even with the A/c units off. When we went upstairs the kitchen / living area with the doors closed, curtains closed and no A/C on was hot The apartment faced west and the heat generated from the sun through the 4 glass doors on the terrace between 12.30 pm to 8 pm made the room temperature over 34 degrees C even with the A/C on. The sole A/C unit upstairs was unable to reduce the searing heat. You needed to sit right in front to get cool. There is no awning or glass film on the doors to repel the heat coming thru the glass doors and curtains. Great for clothes drying!! Before 12.30 pm and after sunset it was useable. Our main concern though was the false description of the apartment having 2 bathrooms. There is only one shower and 2 toilets so be warned if you are sharing with your other guests. After the first nights sleep in the main bedroom, we found out that the bed sheets had been reused and had not been washed from the previous guests. When we stripped the bed to wash the bed linen, we saw that the mattress protector was covered in stains so it was also washed. YUCK, never before has this happened in over 80 bookings in 15 years!! We had read other guest reviews before we booked and we were aware of other concerns: soft mattresses/ pillows; squeaky beds/ floors; narrow spiral staircase; lack of toiletries (only hand soap provided in both toilets); cleanliness of bathroom. So now we add the following issue, the bath towels / bed sheets need replacing. This also applies to the kitchen towel provided as it was dirty and had holes. We raised all of these issues with the manager but will anything change?

Amazing location with fantastic views over the harbour. Sun on the balcony all day. Very convenient to all Valletta’s shops bars and restaurants 2 bedrooms sharing shower room on entrance floor with living area with toilet on floor above

Very little to dislike.

The location was wonderful and the views were breathtaking. Lots of space inside and outside the apartment, and it was a home from home.

Location was excellent and the balcony and views were spectacular.

Cleanliness could be improved in some areas.
