49/3 Seafront Duplex Penthouse in Valletta

The view was lovely and our stay was just perfect.

The view is fantastic Location handy to central Valletta attractions. Lift is a godsend. Where it didn't work was both beds were old and rubbish too low, uncomfortable bad mattresses and hopeless pillows. With some effort and Expenditure this unit could be good. Be aware of the steep spiral stairs

The position of this apartment is exceptional! the views are just incredible, the position of the apartment is what makes it, looking out across the water to Sliema, and a five minute walk from restaurants, shops and sights in Valetta. It truly was a holiday to remember.

The downstairs shower room needs a bit of TLC, could be easily sorted. It would have been really nice if a bottle of drinking water and maybe tea and coffee could be left for new arrivals. We arrived quite late , the shops had shut, and although we managed to drag ourselves out for a wonderful meal at a local restaurant, we couldn't have a drink in the apartment until a nearby shop opened the next day.

Beautiful view, close to the city center, restaurants. Apartament is big and comfortable.

The location is fantastic, super convenient and everyhitng is in a walking distance. And the balcony is definitely another big plus of this apartment, the view is really stunning. The host is also very responsive and helpful.

Unfortuantely the condition and cleaness of kitchen facilities and bathroom can be improved... and there were no shampoo and body soap.

Negatives for this apartment are About 25 steps from the taxi drop off at the road to a flat promenade where the door to the flat is located. The apartment is number 49, however you only find it by finding 48 or 50 as there is no door number, No light over the door so arriving in the dark we had to use our phone torch to use the key lock to retrieve the key. A small issue but little things like this improve the guest experience. The television only works if you use your own Netflix or Apple account otherwise no TV - this should be made clear as you might end up looking at a blank tv for 5 days if you don’t have paid accounts - as we had to. Description says there is a dishwasher but we didn’t find one It says free toiletries - but actually only a bottle of hand wash in each bathroom Descriptions says bbq facilities but we didn’t see these - there was concrete shelf outside where you could put a bbq but no actually cooking facilities. I doubt many guest bring their own bbq!! A microwave would have been useful in the kitchen and in self catering I would have expected as fairly standard equipment There is no heating in the bathroom so a chilly shower during our November stay The water pressure was almost non existent - think a camp shower rather than apartment- this was reported on the Monday afternoon but by Thursday check out still not fixed despite several messages to the management. The bathroom door handle was loose so we didn’t shut the door for fear of getting stuck - reported this to be told they knew about it and it wasn’t going to get us stuck

Wow - that view! We were expecting spectacular and we weren’t disappointed. We never tired of looking out. Lovely spacious apartment and enjoyed our stay in beautiful Valletta. Easy to walk to all attractions and plenty of fantastic bars & restaurants very close by. The owner / management team were extremely responsive to any queries.

Nothing to dislike.
