"This was the best stay of our entire trip-spectacular views, beautiful building and interior, excellent breakfast, clean"

10.0

The location was incredible, the property outside was spectacular, the inside was clean, lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and the common area was so nice. The hosts were extra friendly and accommodating. The view from anywhere on the property was truly breathtaking. We even enjoyed the drive to the property.

"Very nice but remote property!"

8.0

Host was friendly and helpful.

The property is kind of remote. The midges make our stay very uncomfortable. We have suffered bites from them, and the itchiness last for a few days! Lastly, the road work near the site shorten our stay, as we needed to leave at 8:15 AM instead of the normal check-out time, which is 10:30 AM. So breakfast was kind of rush for us, as we need to depart before the road work starts.

"Remote location with fabulous walking along the lochside or over the hill and inland to Arnisdale."

8.0

Daisy and James who looked after us were charming and their cooking was excellent with tasty food and very generous quantities. They were helpful when our boat trip was cancelled because of bad weather.

I was disappointed that there wasn't a kettle in our room. Ability to make hot drinks out of hours (the tearoom was open 12.00-4.00 pm) would have been appreciated. It was also inconvenient that the road in/out was closed for road repairs so we had to leave by 8.00 am to be sure to get out. This, however, was out of the control of the B&B.

It was slightly awkward that you could not book in after 8.00 pm. I was probably told this when I booked but had forgotten; it was pire chance I got there at 950

"Off Grid in Western Scotland"

10.0

Booked this location as more affordable than B&B on Isle of Skye. Booked two rooms for family of five. B&B provided adjoining rooms on upper floor next to a common lounge. Beautiful remote setting. We booked dinner one night and took standard continental breakfast each morning. The set dinner food quality and preparation was outstanding - soup starter, ham and vegetables main, apple crumble dessert. The mixed vegetables (carrots, squash, potatoes, beans) freshness and preparation was the best ever. On-site property managers accommodated our late check in first night and provided special accommodation for my daughter's remote exam on second night. Made good recommendations for our day trip to Skye. Quiet and peaceful and quite remote.

Location was more remote than we anticipated, adding a couple hours travel time to our day trip to Skye. It would be challenging to travel to the location after dark. However, we had no actual issues and everything worked out fine.

"Beautiful location, clean stay, fun road"

8.0

A beautiful location—spotlessly clean and thoughtfully presented. The drive-in is quite challenging, but we found it enjoyable in our Ford Kuga. The route to the B&B is incredibly scenic, both on the way there and upon arrival. We recommend allowing around 45 minutes from the start of the no-through road—about twice the time Google Maps suggests—so you can take it slow and fully enjoy the stunning surroundings (we are late 20's and confident drivers). If we had stayed for longer than one day, we would have loved a hike here as it looked like a hikers paradise

The room was quite warm, though we did have our own fan that helped keep it comfortable. That said, it might feel a bit much during the height of summer. As expected in the Highlands, there were quite a few midges—but that’s fairly typical for the area. We weren’t offered a cooked breakfast (it may have been available at an extra charge), but the continental breakfast provided suited us just fine. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. It felt like a little adventure 😊
