The 3sis Hotel

This lovely hotel is located in the old quarter opposite one of the main temples. It’s walking distance to many of the sites within the old Quarter so location is excellent. Despite the location, it is quiet at night. Lovely welcome and easy check in process with Thain who gave good advice about what to do in the area too. All the staff that I dealt with over the three nights stay were friendly and helpful. 24h reception. This is a small hotel so cosy and quiet as not many other guests. Rooms are as pictured, spacious and clean with a small seating area. Lovely linen and mattress. Free bottled water. Bathroom is clean and amenities are provided, note that the sink is in the room. On ground floor, there is an attached restaurant which serves good food. Thai and Western options available. Lovely patio area on the third floor looking towards the temple. The hotel key holder is very bulky. There is a boutique shop right at the front in the lobby area so first impression when you get to the hotel, is you’re going into a shop. Although the stuff on sale is lovely, it makes this area quite crowded and somewhat untidy. The 3Sis should consider how much stuff is on display by the entrance to the hotel.

The property is in a perfect location, at the center of old town. An amazing restaurant on the 1st floor with an outdoor seating area, great views of the temple across the street. On Sundays, the night market is just 1 or 2 floors down from your room. In addition to the beautiful facilities and staff who go above and beyond for you, it’s still a peace environment to sleep in at night.

Everything was great. It’s one of the best experiences of Thailand, especially the sunset behind the temple from the balcony.

The staff took care of me throughout my stay. I have more than enough water bottles for the day and I always have spare towels to use. I liked that the room was very spacious and has a small couch and table. The bed was king size and very comfortable. Shower heater and air conditioning both worked fine. Location was spot on! Could walk to the Old City gates in 10 mins and there were numerous temples and good restaurants in the area. I always went back to the hotel midday to freshen up because it was right in the middle of the city. Booking a ride around Chiang Mai was also easy and affordable. The hotel restaurant Poppy's Kitchen served good food at reasonable prices too. It had a variety of menu to choose from, not just limited to thai food. Must try during your stay at The 3 Sis Hotel.

1. When it rained on multiple occasions, no one came to help me out of the car or at least offer an umbrella. Good thing I always had my raincoat with me and/or own umbrella. The staff just left hotel umbrellas at the patio but it's also unroofed. 2. The room did not have phones so there's no way to ask the staff for something except to go down to the main lobby 3. The refrigerator was already on max setting but it was not cold. I only used it to chill some yogurt and fruits, but if I brought some milk it might have immediately spoiled already. 4. Even with all the lights on, the room was a bit dim. Could do some improvements on lighting especially in the vanity / toilet area. Since it was quite dark, there were multiple mosquitoes, which bit me (yes they like my blood) even with the insect repellent applied on my legs.
