Handy for gigs to riverside stadium, got taxi to train station £5 then nice steady 10 min walk to stadium , same comming back. Good parking at accommodation. Accommodation was basic ,but enough for an overnight stay, would use again

The bathroom wasn't as clean as it should be, big clump of hair in the sink and shower needed bleaching,we didn't use it. The mattress on the sofa bed was badly stained.

Only 2 towels no hand towels no tea towels only 1knife but 4 forks. Main door was always unlocked and bin area was piled high with rubbish including 3piece suites leaving it open for rats not very higenic.

The place was really clean and good value for money but it wasn’t an entire apartment; it’s one apartment split into two sections so you can hear people on the other half. However this wasn’t a major thing as the space that we had was really nice, the bed was comfortable and we couldn’t fault the cleanliness.

High speed WiFi was advertised - it didn’t work and my partner needed to work during the weekend and wasn’t able to because there was no internet access. The owner admitted that the WiFi is ‘sh*t’ but that he’s getting it properly set up soon so I think this is just a teething issue rather than a permanent problem. However, the property’s power switched off on late Saturday afternoon and my partner was left without power in the dark for nearly 2 hours. I was attending an event at the time and was trying to liaise with the host because my partner was due to join me shortly afterwards and was unable to due to no power to get ready to leave the apartment. This almost ruined our Saturday evening. The host told me he was ‘on it’ and then after no progress he stopped responding altogether. I then called him and he said he’d had a drink so couldn’t fix it but was contacting someone else in the building to help. This was really disappointing because he lived in the area and could’ve got a taxi to the accommodation - just like I did - to fix the problem. But instead I had to chase him to insist that no power in the property wasn’t acceptable. It turned out that the owner hadn’t topped up the electric box prior to our stay and that’s why the power went out. Eventually it was fixed and the owner was apologetic but it took over an hour to be taken seriously. He promised some form of compensation but this is yet to be followed through. The next day, the owner appeared unannounced at the property explaining that work needed to be done in the kitchen. He admitted to being drunk the day before which is why he ‘couldn’t’ attend the property to fix the power issue. Then 2 other men appeared with tools and said they needed to do things in the kitchen, on a Sunday, so me and my partner were confined to the bedroom and felt uncomfortable throughout because it was a huge unexpected invasion of privacy.
