Cosy 2 bed cottage on Dartmoor , Near Ivybridge

Great location for what we wanted. Easy check in & out. Easy parking

It wasn’t very clean. Blood stained sheets which I informed host who was helpful in offering fresh bedding. Empty food wrappers found in one bedroom behind furniture. Out of date food found in the fridge on arrival. Everywhere needed a good scrub

Absolutely love this little cottage stayed here twice and plan to stay many more times The little touches like towels and breakfast bars on the bed milk in the fridge on arrival make you feel welcome

I wouldn't say I didn't like as I just took them off but the pillows are too high and hard. I'd rather 2 of the bottom pillows than the big one but it looks ascetic on arrival and the bed in the lower bedroom sounds like its about to break any minute and is very noisey when you move in the night. Also this time it could have been a little cleaner there were half used shampoos in the bathroom cabinet which didn't look inviting to use (if thats why they were left there) needed a hoover and a fresh scent on arrival but this was minor things and will not put us off staying again its such a beautiful little cottage

Lovely location, spotlessly clean bathroom and kitchen. Nice layout with cosy feel. Easy check in

On opening the door to the cottage, we were met by a smell which can only be described as dirty wet dog. This smell was unfortunately throughout the cottage stemming from the living area. Despite opening all doors and windows and leaving the wall air freshener on, smell didn't subside . Disappointed as the living area was lovely, but the smell made made it feel grubby so weren't comfortable in there. The seats in breakfast area were quite dirty and blinds in living area thick with dust. The bed in the main bedroom was exceptionally noisy, which disturbed sleep as every time you moved, it woke you up. With a bit of tlc, this cottage could be exceptional.

Lovely cottage in a quiet area but still close to many Devon highlights. We felt right at home and the place had everything we needed. We'll come again if we are spending time in the area!

The carpet in the living room was a bit smelly. Maybe time for a more modern flooring. And it was a bit frustrating that we left a few belongings behind, but that's life.

Loved the location.

The bed was so noisy and uncomfortable. Also not sure why the shower screen did not have a seal on to stop water going everywhere! I think the garden area was lovely but not well cared for. Needed a sweep, and the whole place could be stunning but not very cared for. On arrival it had not been cleaned, however thank goodness the owners were local. They came straight away after a phone call, they were lovely and they quickly changed beds/towels and bathroom. There was a mix up on their end but not a great start. Even though I messaged a few days before to confirm if there were towels etc.

Lovely cottage in a very peaceful village. Really nice interior and super comfy bed. Cute little courtyard too! 10 minute walk to a nice country pub, The Horse & Groom, where we enjoyed a nice meal on our first night. Will definitely book again when we are back visiting family!
