Worlds Apart - River Front Guest Farm & Camping

We really liked the tent and the bohemian decor. So pretty. There were fire wood, but we also brought our own. We like to make enough fire... There is a small firepitt in the ground in front of the tent. The kids braaid marshmallows on the fire while I enjoyed the warmth for my feet while sipping on my beverage. My husband braaid the meat in a metal braai opposite the "foot fire." This was perfect for us as we wanted the whole camp experience without having to set up a tent and bedding. There are bedding and bath towels. We went when it was colder, and it was so nice that there were bedlamps and electrical blankets. The cutlery, braai grid, napkins, etc. You have to bring along. There is a very nice entertainment area to host a big group. There are also canoes and life jackets. And if you want to fish in the river you can. The river is close to the camp tents. There is also a swimming pool with pool loungers a bit further on. All and all the kids loved to experience nature.

The beds are very hard-but better than the floor. Bring your own mattress if you want... The bathrooms are very basic and old. It is exposed to natures elements as it is in a rural setting. But it did not bother me. The sound of the town (music) can be heard at the camping site, but that did not bother us. In the morning there is no sound pollution and you wake up with the wonderful sound of birds.

The peacefulness and waking up to the sound of the birds was my favorite part of my stay. The staff Monique was very friendly and helpful. It's the perfect place to relax and forget about the hussle and bussle of your everyday life. It is defenately a place that I will visit again but this time for more then just a weekend

Water was luke warm and not enough lighting in the rooms. The electric fence and gate were not working so didn't feel entirely safe. The Internet wasn't working

Our winter getaway was nothing short of perfect! Rensie was incredibly helpful, sharing great tips and going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The service was top-notch and so accommodating. We loved the thoughtful touches like heated blankets and a crackling fireplace — it made the cold nights feel magical. Truly a grateful escape for the winter. Highly recommended!

It has a beautiful View

It is very cold for the winter. Droplets of water fell on us the morning due to water evaporation. The geyser was not switch on so we could not use it the Friday night and Saturday morning we had to wait long and it was still cold. It was only switched on Saturday morning..Communication with the staff was poor, poor response, we had no excess to the wifi we were not connected, no details of the wifi was left.

We loved living by the river, the open space and the distance between the accommodation units

Our cabin had a solar geyser and the sun had not been shining so we had no hot water and had to use the abulotion block to shower. The river had flooded and we were not informed about this. There was however an alternative route.
