"Scary and ruined"

When we arrived the key was in a key box but there was no lock on the front door or handle it was left unsecured, which ruined our stay as we was frightened the whole night with the door open plus couldn't go out as could not lock the door, told the host and he said nothing he could do when we left the apartment was still not locked, plus it says free onside parking and both out cars got parking tickets for £50 each

That we couldn't lock the door and the host was not helpful

The door was open when we got there, and the door handle was broken off left on the side. Was not safe to stay there, as I couldn't lock the door. Contacted the owner to let him know, waiting on refund.

There was no response from the Owner when trying to arrange Check In. When we finally found the property, some other residents let us through the outer gates. The Apartment had no lock on the door and upon entering, it appeared that people were squatting there. The place smelt bad, the beds were unmade, people had clearly been living there and there was rubbish on the surfaces in the kitchen. The property was not ready or in a fit state for us to stay there so we had to find alternative accommodation. I have tried making multiple complaints to Booking.com and the Owner but after finally getting past AI ChatBots, Customer Service is refusing to co-operate with me or offer an appropriate resolution/refund.

"Wrecked evening , an understatement !!!!!!"

Everything. We didn't stay there. It was filthy. The appart had not been touched since the last rental. Front door not lockable, toilet seat broken . Laundry room full of dirty clothes. Food in fridge and on worktops. Dirty bedding on beds and in the living room. Rubbish still on bin and on the floor. I contacted the owner who said he would cancel the booking, but I don't trust him. I obviously have pictures to back up my claim. We all went to our own homes as alternative accommodation at that time was impossible within a sensible budget. I not only want a refund I require compensation and expenses for what should have been a fantastic weekend. I have also contacted your complaints department and told to expect a reply within 24 hours. That hasn't happened either.

Apartment was filthy, dirty beds sticky floors and cobwebs over cooker. Room had not been cleaned,we ended up leaving the property. The owner said he would refund but nothing received.
