The location

The apartment had not been cleaned before we arrived from the last visitors. Bins were full of rubbish, and the bedding didn't look like it had been changed. The bathroom had not been cleaned either. Bag full of fag butt's hanging by the front door. We went out on the first evening we arrived, and when we returned, it was evident that someone had been in the apartment whilst we were out, but still no cleaning had been done. They just left a random lamp and fake plant in the hallway...

Central location

We arrived an hour earlier than check in, as we were parking up and heading into the city. Couldn’t get hold of the owner to actually locate the building and access parking!! Left voicemails texts and contacted through booking.com. No answer. We had to pay for parking round the corner. Luckily we were not in a rush to access the property as the owner FINALLY texted me the access details 30 minutes AFTER check in time. The property was not clean. Empty water bottles and a half eaten protein bar in the kitchen 🤣 we could see the dust on the floor throughout. There was no hand soap in the bathroom (picky but surely a basic requirement?) 2 towels left between 4 of us. Beds weren’t made properly and looked like they had already been slept in. Didn’t have pillow cases on some pillows. Lucky for us it was a place to get our heads down after a night of drinking. We didn’t use any of the facilities and would not recommend for anything other than a central location to sleep. But saying that, we wouldn’t return here again.

Good points: Location is good, size of apartment is good and facilities all as you'd expect

Poor comms, I had to chase on the day for access information. On arrival the place had not been cleaned. Bedsheets still from previous guests, towels on the floor and no toilet paper. Host offered refund to go stay somewhere else, not an option as we were going to a concert. Whilst we were out, cleaner came and place was fine when we got back.

The apartment was spacious, quiet and the location was good for our needs.

The apartment was not clean. It didn't look as if it had been cleaned for our arrival. Some bowls were dirty and we had to wash them up before using them. There was an old food wrapper on top of one of the wardrobes. None of the pillows had pillowcases and the bedding was poor quality. There was 1 bath towel between 3 people and no hand towels. There were no tea towels in the kitchen. The mattresses were poor quality and uncomfortable. Some of the furniture and fittings were worn and tatty. The apartment was described as a 'luxury apartment' which is entirely misleading. There was nothing luxury about this apartment and it was very poor value for money.
