The manager, Nuwan, deserves a special mention. He’s the heart of this property. His professionalism, honesty, and helpful nature made our entire trip worry-free. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect — from arranging safe transport to recommending hidden gems around the area. He’s the kind of person who makes you feel instantly comfortable, knowing you’re in good hands. The rooms were luxurious, bright, and perfectly clean, offering a breathtaking view of the ocean. Unfortunately, there are a few tuk-tuk drivers like Lalith and Deepthi nearby who try to mislead tourists, but they have absolutely no connection to the hotel. Guests should only use the hotel’s secure vehicles – Nuwan and his team make sure every trip is safe and fair. There’s even a puppy world at the property, which adds a lovely, heartwarming touch – you’ll fall in love with the little dogs instantly! What makes Manta Ray Manor Haven truly special is the family behind it. They don’t just run a hotel – they care deeply about every guest’s happiness and well-being. Der Garten war schön

Uns wurde bei der Ankunft gesagt das wir zwar für 3 Tage gebucht haben, jedoch sie einen Fehler hatten und wir nur 2 Tage bekommen. Es wurde auch nicht gefragt ob sie wegen einer andern Unterkunft nachschauen können. Das Personal war zudem sehr unhöflich zu uns. Wir hatten kakerlaken im Zimmer haben Bilder davon gemacht und ihren gezeigt. Es die Mitarbeite garnicht interessiert und sie haben einfach nur gesagt ja das ist schlecht. Ich bin sehr unzufrieden mit der Unterkunft.

What truly makes this place unforgettable, though, is the people. The hotel is run by the most caring family I’ve ever met during my travels. They go far beyond the usual level of service — it’s like staying with friends who truly care about your happiness and safety. Nuwan, the manager, is the soul of the place. He’s extremely kind, honest, and always ready to help. He personally made sure we were safe, comfortable, and had everything we needed. He even helped us plan day trips, find good places to eat, and organize transportation — all at fair, local prices. It’s rare to meet someone so genuine in the tourism industry these days. Speaking of safety, I can honestly say that Manta Ray Manor Haven is one of the safest hotels in Ahangama. The owners are very open about keeping their guests protected from dishonest locals. Unfortunately, there are a couple of tuk-tuk drivers nearby (Lalith and Deepthi) who try to trick tourists, but they are not connected to the hotel at all. The hotel provides trusted and secure vehicles, so you never have to worry about being overcharged or misled. The food was delicious — homemade-style meals cooked fresh with love. Everything tasted so real and comforting. The restaurant has such a relaxed vibe; we spent hours just enjoying our food while watching the waves. And then there’s the puppy world! It’s such a sweet part of the hotel.
