Wastwater Cottage on The Big "W" Ranch

Beautiful location and view! Good sized space for a studio and very comfortable beds!

Not very well sound proofed. Was woken up by those staying above us quite early. Understand there's lots of people that way up early for walks. Wouldn't usually mind but it was our day post walk and could've slept a little longer before a long drive back.

Outstanding location and very beautiful, comfortable and nicely decorated studio. It had all it needed, or even more. Made us feel like staying on a proper ranch in the mountains, but at the same time, in the Lake District.

Information pack lacking detail. Mentioned superb beaches within 3 miles...no directions. No mention of nearest shops, cafes, petrol station, doctors etc Could have done with sweeping brush to help keep on top of bits & dog hair whilst staying in property. Only very small dustpan & brush provided.

Amazing location, beautiful place to stay on a lovely, authentic farm. So easy to get to Wast Water from here and all the other beautiful places. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Stunning views from the apartment as well.

Near Wastwater with stunning views of the peaks surrounding the lake, the cottage on the Rivera stud farm was a spectacular place to stay on a family trip for a few nights. Clean, comfortable and full of character (the decorative woodcarvings were ace), the cottage proved to be a perfect base from which to explore the Lake District. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped and we really appreciated the space outside to eat and drink while looking out to the scenery. It's a cosy and tranquil spot that, in spite of its remoteness, offers luxury and convenience to anyone looking to get away from it all for a bit. Visitors should know that getting there requires a car journey on windy, small country roads (not recommended at night) and that you'll encounter several (adorable) sheep. I'd advise that you come with supplies and embrace all that this beautiful place has to offer.
