The Hideaway - York

Newly rennovated 2 storage 2 bedroom appartment in relatively central location to lovely york. Appartment felt very cozy and homely, with more than you could expect of service (e.g. milk, wine etc. in the fridge upon arrival + more than the usual salt, pepper, oil in the kitchen). Apartment was spacious (maybe except for the kitchen). Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Access to York city center was easy (just walk straight ahead for 1.3 km). Great value for money and we would definitely come back another time

Kitchen layout is a bit tight with dishwasher, washer etc. and the toilets situated at the end of the kitchen, but was only really a problem in the morning when whole family was getting ready :)

Family of 5 staying for 3 nights. Great location for exploring York. Close to the centre and all attractions within walking distance but very quiet. We spent a day at Flamingo Land, only a 30min drive away. The Hideaway was spotlessly clean, modern and had everything we needed. Tea, coffee, milk and lots of other goodies welcomed us. Would like to come back as a couple and take advantage of all York's wonderful bars and restaurants! Would definitely recommend the Hideaway.

Extremely cosy feeling, even my toddler felt immediately at home ! The little outside space is perfect for summer after dinner when the kids are already in bed , you can have a drink and chill . All the neighbours are super nice. They even had a few games for the kids and books for both kids and grownups . Very comfy beds and lootss of pillows and blankets . Heating control was very user friendly. Nicely decorated but not over done so we still had plenty of space for your own stuff . Kitchen basics and some other extras were very appreciated.

Nothing not to like, just a suggestion- an extra frying pan could be useful :)

My sister and I both found the beds firm and exceptionally comfortable. The whole property was very clean with all facilities provided. There were also a number of little unexpected extras which were much appreciated. The location is ideal for walking into the centre of York but also quiet and peaceful. The host, Jim, very kindly contacted us to warn us of some traffic restrictions which we might not have noticed in the nearest area for parking. Would definitely recommend and we would return ourselves if visiting York again!

The hosts were fantastic, they helped me enormously in my planning of the trip in regard to local transport, entertainment, places to eat and the property itself. The Hideout was spotless and has all the necessities you need and was an ideal place for my family to relax after the exploring York. It is ideally situated, only a 15-minute walk at most to the city centre or 5 minutes on the bus from a bus stop only a few minutes away from the Hideout.
