The photos don't do this property justice, it's impeccably furnished. The facilities provided went above and beyond and you could really tell the hosts cared with what they included in the property and how they communicated. Couldn't be happier with our stay.

Extremely clean property, lots of extras including ice creams and fruit teas!! Location was private and the area had a lovely feel to it, only a short walk into town too. Really close to local amenities including a bus stop. Loads of information provided by the host which was all useful to have.

Perfect house for our short trip to visit York. The local area is very quiet and has a village feel with local shops cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Would highly recommend 2 many wines bistro which is 200m from the house. Easy 10 minute walk into central York. House is renovated to a high standard and has everything you need for your stay……also included tea, coffee and other treats which was a nice touch. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy to a high standard. Communication with Jim (friendly owner) was excellent.

Extremely comfortable and well appointed. Every little detail was well thought out. Great communication from the owners and we really appreciated the treats that they left for us. Will definitely be recommending this house to anyone traveling to this area.

We had a fantastic few days at the Hideaway. It was spotlessly clean and the communication from Kate and Jim was fantastic. We really appreciated their tips for the local area. The house had everything we could need for our family of four. It's a nice walk into York, 15 minutes or so and plenty of shops, pubs etc within a couple of minutes walk. Thanks so much, we'll definitely stay again in the not so distant future.

The Hideaway cottage provided everything we needed for our short stay in York. The cottage is beautifully renovated to an excellent standard with all the facilities you require for your stay. Each room has been well thought out to give those extra little touches such as blankets, ample towels and a great variety of dishes and cups including those for children. It had been cleaned to a high standard before our arrival and there was some extra little treats which made us feel most welcome. The cottage is situated close to the bustling city centre of York but also close to the small village of Heworth which has a good variety of pubs and cafes. The hosts, Jim and Kate, were very pleasant and provided us with lots of very useful information. They were also prompt when replying to us when we had a query.
