Rose & Star Cottage

The cottage is so cute, just perfect. There was so much character to this property. The stairs and the loft room made it feel like a real adventure of a stay. Beautifully renovated so it has all the modern ease, but without taking away from the charm of the old building. Loved the location, so nice to wander to the cute shops, bars abs restaurants of the town. Coming back to the quaint little cottage street was a treat each time, felt like something out of an old English tv show.

Spotlessly clean and tidy, easy to find. Fantastic location. Tiny but beautifully designed and well equipped. Lovely to have a coffee machine with complementary pods. Big comfy beds and a loo with a view! Spotted the Westbury white horse in the distance.

Nothing we didn't know up front. Parking in Frome isn't straightforward but it's an easy walk from the train station. Not so easy are the stairs. Bear in mind this is a quirky and characterful cottage, so the stairs are narrow and steep. They are however well lit with motion activated lights. The garden was under construction so was out of bounds for our visit.

Great location. The loft room is lovely. The cottage was very clean.

The kitchen was smaller than we expected and no cupboard space for food etc. We would have liked some hand towels for the bathroom and kitchen. The toilet seat didn't fit.

We loved this little gem of a cottage, right at the cute end of town. It was obviously a brand new refurbishment of the property and they’ve made it really beautiful. With everything you need. Quirky and sweet, in an historic area - we stayed here for a gig at the cheese and grain. We will definitely be back for longer, especially once the hot tub is in!

The hill climb back from town on the cobbles is a challenge haha! It definitely keeps you fit. Don’t wear heels!
