Rose & Star Cottage

Excellent location close to independent shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

The house was beautiful, clean and tidy. The hosts were brilliant leaving coffee, tea and milk for us and were very helpful when we needed to ask something. I have been to many properties around the country and this stands out as one of the best. We would definitely use it again when visiting my daughter in Frome.

I can’t really criticise anything. The stairs are very steep but you can’t complain too much about that in a listed building.

Fantastic location, very pretty little cottage that had been planned inside so well. Very charming.

We hadn’t appreciated quite how narrow and steep the stairs were, which was a little tricky for us.

Location and comfortable beds

Mainly the VERY steep steps from ground floor to first and first to second floor and NO HANDRAIL! This made the stairs quite hazardous. Three of party have mobility issues so had to crawl up stairs. Major issues with top floor having no ensuite’ necessitating crawling downstairs at night.

Fabulous location on a pedestrian only street right in the heart of Frome. Very cute beautifully renovated and decorated historic cottage with all mod cons. Very comfortable beds with luxury linen.

Being an old cottage the stairs are very steep, which was ok for me but my 80 year old mum found them quite tricky even though she is very fit for her age. The garden hasn’t been renovated yet but that was a minor point for us. There is no parking at the property so expect a walk. However you can park outside to load and unload although you do need to reverse the length of the street to get back out.

Lovely property located very centrally with easy access to the main sites in Frome. It had everything we needed for a long weekend including chocolates! The owners were extremely helpful and communicated quickly. I would highly recommend.
