Kona Islander Inn - Prime Downtown Location with Hot Tub, Pool & Beach

It's always good to hear I love it people nice plus it's beautiful.

We only stayed one night. Asked owner to refund rest of nights due to operational commitment and he could not accommodate us.

There was bugs and nothing was clean. When we tried to get a refund for checking out early because the place was in terrible condition they wouldn't give it to us....terrible just terrible.

Loved the location - backs up on Ali'i, which is main drag along shoreline. Easy walking to restaurants and shops. This is not a photo of the unit we rented. The "studio" is def small. The murphy bed was more comfortable than expected. The bathroom is closet-sized, right off the kitchenette. Full-size fridge, though. One small window unit A/C. Eventually the room was cool. No elevators. We were on third floor. Laundry room was unbearably hot, with no breeze, but at least there was one. Pool was nice. Overall a very pleasant property. But we had stayed in roomier accommodations elsewhere on the Island.

Vacation Condos in Kona is not a real place. It is a business. The woman owns condos at 2 separate locations (10 min walk apart) and advertised them separately but also advertises them as Vacation Condos in Kona, I'm not sure if that's allowed but I feel that it's fraud. It doesn't say anywhere that there are multiple locations, that you could be put at either location. The photos here are only of 1 location and I got put at the other location initially but after an hour on the phone to Hotels.com, the very rude owner arranged a room at the other place (the one I thought I had booked, actually called Kona Islander Inn). Once I got to the other condo (pictured here), it was below average at best. Bed and pillows were awfully uncomfortable. Towels had stains on them and we had to strip the bed and take out the trash before we left with the threat of extra cleaning fees (on top of the cleaning fees already imposed). Don't bother staying 'here' (it's not actually a place so I'm using 'here' figuratively) I'm sure there are much nicer condos in Kona without the deception that this one offers.

Location was perfect. Food,shops and the beach was a few minute walk from room.

Had a good time. Just didn’t loke the roaches only problem but if u don’t mind nice place overall

Great location! Clean and comfortable...only stayed one night as we needed a rest before our flight home.

The pictures of the condo do not match the actual condo I was staying in. I thought I had a full kitchen and a ground floor room. I had third floor room and for $250 a night (with taxes and fees) the place was really old and shabby. The kitchen was a hot plate. It’s a fine busy location. But don’t expect much from the room

It was clean comfortable and a great location. Our unit was decorated nice. The only negative thing I can come up with is that the grounds are very tight and congested feeling. But your not spending a lot of time in the unit now are you?
