KB51 Charming 2 bed house in Horsham, pets very welcome and long stays with easy access to London, Brighton and Gatwick

Ok I think previous reviews are by acquaintances. Booked 2 nights for 3 adults. Property is on a housing estate with no walkable amenities. Pretty spartan inside with 3 adults on 1 uncomfortable sofa. Tea making stuff left for guests, unfortunately the milk sticks were out of date. Tray in cooker grill not cleaned. Cracked wooden toilet seat. Yes a wooden toilet seat. Some toilet paper stuffed in the coving. Shower pull cord not reachable. We left after the first night

The property had the 2 separate bedrooms and space we required. Dining table area was nice once we found lights and popped on heaters to warn up the space. The garden looked ideal space if visiting in warmer weather. We were able to park directly outside. The hosts did get back to me via a call when we raised the issue of cupboard jammed and missing hairdryer. Their maintenance person arrived in time to resolve issues for us. The bedding towels were all clean and property tidy on arrival.

The information book had lots of information about restaurants in local area. We felt we needed a few more practical bits on adjusting heating and instructions for TV and electric oven to heat up food. We weren't able to access under stairs cupboard to access iron ironing board and visit was for family funeral so 1 guest it was an issue. Plus no hairdryer so perhaps someone needs to do a more regular inventory check. Another chair in lounge area might be useful so guests not all sat in a line. I did use chair from dining area.

Garden was secure for our dogs, parking was ideal for getting dogs into rear of property, via the short path to garden gate.

Property had not been prepared, washing up not done, iron and board in conservatory and bedding not changed. Contacted host who apololgised for oversight and arranged for clean bedding to be delivered for our second night. We used our own duvet cover and pillow cases to sleep on sofa bed on the first night. We usually bring our own towels too, so not having these changed did not impact too much on our stay. We were down for a family bereavement, so did not stay in the property during the day as we had previously, therefore not having the property prepared on arrival was inconvenient but not a disaster. I would not expected the previous guests to just leave dirty cups etc in the sink and draining board, this is not a hotel room, so if they just run out of time the least would be washed items sitting on draining board, cleaners would need more time to prepare house if everyone did this.

Location was very good, close to.Gatwick and town center.

Beds were not that comfortable and big window in single room was locked and couldnt be opened. Bed side lamp didnt work and there wasnt a wardrobe to hang clothes. Downstairs the garden could have done with a bigger terrace table and more outdoor chairs, for the summer. Also, there was nlwhere to hang jackets, entrance could do with a couple of hooks. Oven had a metal peeled tray which was unusable. :-(

What a beautiful place, lovely area would book it again in a heartbeat. My dog is 15 and will be her last little holiday and she loved it too. Thank you

Nothing, it was perfect

Perfect location for what we wanted. Easy access to get to see everyone we wanted to see whilst in Horsham. Easy way to get the keys.

There was a vacuum cleaner provided but it did not work very well. The bag was full and there were no replacements. We managed to empty the bag and continue hoovering before we left.
