Great location by a beautiful bay, easy access to the beach, and in close proximity to some very nice corals. Property has a sizeable pool, and excellent spa offering Ayurveda treatments, a small but well-furnished gym, two high-quality restaurants and entertainment including two play rooms for kids and a karaoke room. Quiet location offering an ideal setting for both family vacations as well as relaxed setting for couples. Above all the friendliness and service of the staff stand out. Shantha, Gayan and the F&B staff at the restaurant looked after us with delicious food; Ruchira entertained the children who had lots of fun and made new friends; and Thanzil and Rupan looked after us as they made sure we had drinks, food, towels and equipment around the pool and on the beach. The friendliness and smiles of the staff at Maalu Maalu has made us feel welcome and relaxed.

The location is stunning and the staff go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one.

I honestly cannot think of one thing that disappointed us.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Malu Malu Resort in Pasikudah, Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful surroundings and beautifully maintained environment created a perfect setting for rest and relaxation. The resort strikes a lovely balance between comfort and natural beauty, making it an ideal getaway. The food was consistently excellent, with a great variety and flavors that we thoroughly enjoyed throughout our stay. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared and added to the overall experience. One of the highlights for us was the Ayurvedic massage treatments. The oil massages by Nishantha and Manoja were absolutely extraordinary—deeply relaxing and rejuvenating, and easily among the best we have experienced. We were also especially touched by the warm hospitality of the staff. Ravindu and Thanzil, both at the pool and during our meals, were incredibly friendly and attentive. Their kindness and genuine care made our stay particularly pleasant and enjoyable for both me and my wife. Overall, it was a truly memorable experience. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to returning again.

Loved the fact that the property was right on the beach. The beach and pool area was stunning. Room was clean and had a very large bathroom. Staff were great. Had a Great selection of food for the buffet at breakfast and dinner. The guy serving drinks at the pool bar was lovely! There was even a little nightclub at the property. I enjoyed the little sports bar where we enjoyed playing pool. I would definitely stay here again.

This is not much of a big deal but I found when eating as soon as I had taken my last bite of food they would instantly take the plate away despite my partner still eating. So I feel staff are slightly too attentive when it came to this. A slower dinning pace would have been nice.
