The Cambrian Bar & Grill

We stayed at this hotel before the new management took over and did not have a good experience at all , we decided to take a chance and so glad that we did !! From the start Kelley welcomed us and was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly , polite and couldn’t do enough for us. The whole atmosphere of the pub and hotel was so much more welcoming , I explained my partner had had a brain injury and she allowed us to park the car at the back of the hotel for the whole weekend so we didn’t have far to take our things. We went down on the Friday night for drinks and the entertainment and it was a brilliant evening. We had a wedding to attend on the Saturday but was able to get a slightly later check out ti help my partner recover from this before the long drive back to Portsmouth . Also shout out to sue the cleaner she was lovely and extremely helpful to make sure we had all we needed. So myself and Marc would like to say well done to Kelley and the new management and the team for turning the hotel around and carry on the good work. We will 100% stay again. As Marc says .. lovely lovely

Only small thing was WiFi didn’t reach our room and signal is poor in wales but that is to be expected in such an old building and not a fault of the hotel

Quiet, comfortable and nice staff.

The biggest issue for me was that there was a big green security type of light above my bed which was really bizarre and makes you unable to sleep. Luckily I had been drinking heavily so it helped a bit, however I did find it unacceptable and had I arrived back at the venue when staff were still available I would have asked for a different room or left and asked for a refund.

Comfortable rooms and helpful staff.

Heating wasn't on in our room initially and although staff were helpful in resolving this, the system was slow to come on and we had to keep asking for assistance with this. In the morning the heating wasn't on in our room but the corridor was boiling.
