a wonderful stay overall - a few extras such as providing pods for the nespresso machine, dish towel, oven gloves, to aid the self catering aspect would make it perfect

Beautiful and tranquil setting. Will recommend the lake house to anybody who needs a break from everyday life!

It's a beautiful & serene location. It's very well maintained. A real gem for nature lovers. Waking up to the view of the dam is amazing. You can hike around the property and fish as well. Mike is such an incredible host, really helpful and accommodating. We really loved our stay. You will fall in love with the place! Its fairly close to Sani Pass if you'd like to drive up there. There's a supermarket about 15 mins away and it is well stocked with everything you need.

Everything

I liked the seclusion, peace and quietness. Good for a relaxing getaway. It's self-catering but if you need something from the shops; there is a Spar not too far or you can have breakfast at surrounding restaurants or coffee shops.

Not easy to find when travelling at night, suggest you get there early cause it's easy to miss when it's dark. Of course, load shedding but the host provided a rechargeable light and gas heater to keep warm for the cold nights.

I did not like anything, like is not a strong enough word, we Loved our stay at Lake House, waking up to the birds singing, seeing the sun rise above the mountains, the feeling of being in a safe secure place, the beauty of the lake outside your front door, the friendly, welcoming and helpful Mr Mike Lindsay. We Loved everything about the place and will be returning. There is such a calm and relaxed atmosphere from the time you arrive.
