stunning property, facilities are amazing. the natural swimming pools are sensational. the staff were so friendly and made me feel very special! I booked room 5, it was basic (compared to the others) but as a solo traveller suited me just fine. I ended up having the public pool to myself as majority of the villas have their own pool. food was fantastic and they will accommodate any dietaries. there was no AC which I was scared about but I actually got a touch cold with the fan on. beautiful waterfall (Aberdeen falls) in the vicinity. but beware unless you’re a lover of treks it’s a challenge to get to!

the location - the entrance is down a 350m steep descend, my driver wasn’t too happy about it. it’s about 30 mins from the rafting so have to pay for transport. need to book taxi/transport in advance as it is quite out of the way. but the staff are more than happy to help and make sure you’re taken care of.

Beautifully located in the rainforest. Beautifully decorated property. Nice large rooms. Good food in the restaurant. Nice river bathing place and pool. Friendly staff.

Drinks are a bit overpriced, small fridge in room would have been nice. If booking.com says your kid stays free, this does not include the selected meal plan which is a bit confusing.

👍 this paradise deserves a six star review. The resort is built in the middle of a dense forest. So you are literally immersed in a therapeutic trance of water running, birds chirping and critters singing all day and night. The basic room is luxury in size, with a garden separating the ensuite toilet shower. The breakfast, lunch and dinner can be adjusted to your dietary requirements. There's a chemical free swimming pool that uses water from the mountains. Then there's a natural pool with water directly flowing down from the mountains. Ashley, the resort manager, has a heart of gold and he leads a team who will contort themselves to attend to your needs. The staff were just common village girls and boys, and they deliver friendly yet professional quality service, considering their humble beginnings. So tip them generously. Dilan, the massage therapist does a massage truly reflecting Sri Lanka's spirit -- relaxed, gentle and yet to the point. After the massage, you can use the wet and dry sauna. If you are keen to try Ayurvedic treatment, simply ask. It's a perfect getaway from city hustle bustle and paparazzi. A sanctuary for the soul. A place to heal your spirit.

The creaking bed

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this enchanting hotel for just one night, but the experience was so rejuvenating that it felt like we had spent an entire week on holiday. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Their warmth, hospitality, and attentiveness were truly exceptional. It was my birthday that day and they made sure that it felt very special. The massage was on of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka, and the fresh, delicious food was a treat. The hotel's location is truly unique, nestled remotely right next to a stunning waterfall and surrounded by lush green forest. Moreover, the rooms were very comfy and clean, with a relaxing ambience and great design in mind. Thank you to the staff again for great hospitality!

An absolutely beautiful place to stay for a few nights. The whole set-up is amazing and the room is so comfortable. Such a nice lodge to fully relax. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff very friendly.

Sun beds next to the pool would be great.

We had a lovely stay at the remote, jungle location of Arsulana. We were greeted by Ashley who gave us a warm welcome and tips for our stay. The food and service was good and we really enjoyed our white water rafting. Overall a great place to spend a few days on your way to the tea country.

It was an outstanding, authentic and beautiful time in the middle of the jungle. Everything is done with love! People are incredibly caring. Had one of my best massages on top.
