Stay at 'The Elms' in tranquil Church Norton, Selsey, ground floor bedroom, own private bathroom, quiet beach, 2 acre garden on edge of wildlife nature res

Very very quiet location (although down a narrow road for a small section) Beautiful scenery and close to the beach (or a small drive into Selsey itself). Host was very welcoming and told me about all the places to eat/go in Selsey (which the fish & chip shop was a huge win, very good food!). The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was huge.

Bathroom was separate from the bedroom and whilst it's on the private side of the house, it felt very odd going outside of my room to go to the bathroom. Feather pillows were provided which I really dislike (I feel an option of foam would be beneficial) I feel like a small fridge would have been welcome in the room (although wouldn't necessarily go with the decor) but knew this wasn't an option when I booked A "motion detector" is visible in the top corner of the room above the door. I really disliked this as I only noticed it when I was going to bed and a light kept flicking on/off.

Clean and comfortable. Very relaxing and quiet. Amanda is a great host.

It is a factor that there is no restaurant or pub within walking distance -you definitely need to drive,

Peace and quiet if you have your windows closed. When I opened them I could hear a continual thump thump from music somewhere in the distance. Caravan/static parks are nearby. I couldn’t live in area like this if noise pollution was a regular occurrence.

The owner makes it clear that no breakfast is provided, thats good. I knew when I booked there is no where within walking distance to buy a drink or get a snack of any kind. That was fine with me too. You need a car.

The breakfast was just a pastry and hot drink but we knew this in advance. The location was quite remote but again we knew this and it was part of the charm being by the sea and a nature reserve

The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and clean and to be able to chill out in her beautiful garden was bliss,we certainly enjoyed the beauty and quietness of it all
