1 Bedrooms Flat in Central Edinburgh Haymarket, Heart of Edinburgh Flat Sleeps 4 ,

Flat is in a great location - really central but quiet at night. We managed to get parked pretty much right outside the door. It was comfy, warm, well equipped and ideal for our one night stop.

I found the ad for the flat a bit confusing in terms of how many beds there were going to be. From the ad, I understood there would be a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed and a second sofa bed in the living room. There was only one sofa bed, in the living room. That was OK - we coped fine - but I think the listing on booking.com could perhaps be made a bit clearer.

The host was so helpful and amiable . Bread, milk, biscuits, tea etc were all left for us, everything was thought of.

Bed was difficult to get around but not impossible!

I had such a lovely time staying at at Kamal's flat, while in the area working. The flat was lovely and peaceful and spotlessly clean , 15 minutes walk from Arthur Seat and another 10 minutes from there to the old town. I would absolutely stay here again.

Really nice touch that the host left us lots of goodies like cereal, milk, crisps and wine. Living room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Big TV and books and games provided. 20-25 minute walk into the centre and close to Haymarket station, shops and bars. Nice shower. Kitchen well equipped. Easy to check in and out via the keysafe. Good overall stay!

Feels like somewhere that isn't set up for living, just for short stays. For example, no bottom sofa cushions, so if the sofa bed was put back as a sofa you had to sit on the duvet which didn't feel fair for the person sleeping on the sofa bed. Bed in the main bedroom awkwardly placed so the bedroom door hits it and doesn't open fully, and hard to squeeze in the window side. Glass on the table in the living room isn't properly fixed so slides around if you try to move the table and could become a hazard. Lamp in living room not working. Ticking thermostat annoying for person sleeping on sofa bed.

The location was good, apartment was big enough for four people to stay comfortably.

First off all the host should revise their welcome message. It was a list of all possible things we could get fine for. We were informed that we will be observed by, let's call it "CCTV", and they will know exactly how many people entered the apartment, and if more than 4 people get in we will be evicted and will get a fine! What if I need someone to help me bring in my luggage? What if my family member or a friend from Edinburgh would like to get in for a brief moment? Also with the keys it was very awkward. If we would loose them and would call the host for help we would get fine as well. How to change the code for the key box was not explained anywhere and we were not familiar with this system. For the price we paid I would expect that in case of an emergency the host would be available. Other things that bothered me were 100% polyester bed linings. They are probably easy to maintain but very unpleasant to use. And I would suggest to stick to white bed linings and white towels, this way the guests can be sure that they are really clean and fresh. It was very cold when we were there and we needed to switch on heating. While in our bedroom radiator worked perfectly, in the living room, where our children slept, radiator didn't work at all.

Great location, sofa bed very comfortable - almost like a real mattress, good TV, large living room.

Shower a bit tight for people on the larger side, main bed a little soft for my taste.

The property was warm, very comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed. Was a very pleasant surprise that it was stocked up with essentials like bread, milk, butter, coffee but also lots of extras such as crisps, wine, cereal and fruit juice. The location was great. A very short walk to fountain park and a very short walk to the tram stop.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

The property is warm and inviting with very tall ceilings and beautiful natural light in the living room. Kamal, the host, had the space immaculately clean when we arrived and had even supplied it with delicious bread, jams, wine, tea, coffee and cookies that were a special hit with our children. Highly recommend!
