Pride Rock Villa & Tree House

Great place to stay! Perfectly located in the heart of Sigiriya and surrounded by nature. I stayed here from the 2nd to the 4th of July in a room with two double beds, a private bathroom, and a spacious garden outside. The property is immersed in greenery, so you’ll often spot wildlife such as lizards, squirrels, peacocks, birds and the owner’s friendly dog. It’s a truly peaceful setting. The owners are a lovely family with three young children, along with their grandparents who help around the property with the lovely dog. They were honestly the highlight of my stay such kind, welcoming people who made me feel at home. Their smiles and positive energy were unforgettable. I also had the pleasure of eating most of my meals here. The food is homemade, delicious, and full of flavour cooked by Chandikasamapath, i think this is how it is written! Such lovely person! She taught me some Sinhala words too! I’ve travelled across Sri Lanka, and this place with it is the best with it warm-hearted hosts who have been the highlight of this place! To the owners: please keep being who you are, kind, smiley, offering good vibes and helping into guiding people around the city and the country! You are the difference! Oyāṭa sthūthiyi!

Nothing i did not like everything was perfect!

Amazing due to several reasons: - super close to sigiriya city - at the same time very quiet in a large property without any neighbors - most importantly: it felt like sleeping directly in the nature with beautiful views into the park. You can hear birds sing in the morning, we spotted peacocks and several other local animals.

Everything was great!

It was nice to stay with such a kind and caring family. Not only are they nice people, they go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. Room was everything I needed and the location is great. We need more hostels like Pride Rock!

Situated in a calm area nearly in the jungle ; you feel the wildness nearby. Very very clean. Confortable beds, large rooms. Great garden with peacocks and all sort of wild things, squirls etc... very friendly lady owner... décorated with taste from my point of view Quality price very ok

It is already written, but no air conditionning, only fan; 2 nights of 4 no electricity about 3-4 hours at night, not so easy; the best is with door open but dépends on what bugs could come inside; need tuk tuk at night cause even the 1 km from the restaurants there are éléphants wandering; The man owner not very friendly if you are not going his way; his prices for trips are quite high. He is not friendly at all Breakfast the more and more poor as days passed No equipement in the room (fridge, Coffee, hairdryer etc. )

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The owners are so kind and helpful. The children are adorable, and even the dog is super cute! The rooms are very comfortable and truly clean. The location is very close to the city center. Having breakfast in the garden was absolutely paradise. Thank you for everything!

Nothing. It was perfect.

The property was stunning, set off a small road into a beautiful, peaceful jungle setting, with various trees and wildlife around. There were monkeys, langurs, peacocks and all sorts of birds. Not to mention the super cute resident dog! My room was spacious, modern and clean and the owners Chandika and Vasana were so friendly, generous and helpful, giving me suggestions and helping arrange day a tuk tuk bor day trips. The children are very sweet too, it’s a lovely family! And Chandika even drove me to the bus stop for free when I left. The food Vasana cooked was tasty and nutritious, plus much cheaper than the local restaurants. The free breakfast, with fruits grown in the garden was also an amazing bonus! I borrowed a bike (at a discounted rate!) for a couple of days and explored the local lakes and countryside. It’s an incredible area of natural beauty. At one point the WiFi connection was low so Vasana allowed me to move the router into my room and the signal was then perfect. They really do everything they can to help make your stay perfect. I absolutely recommend this place and even 3 nights wasn’t enough! Thank you so much for everything 🙏

Everything is great!

We had a lovely time at this Tree House in Sigiriya. The family is always happy to help you and serves quick and delicious breakfast. One of the most warming people in Sri Lanka on our trip.

Staying at Pride Rock Villa Sigiriya was an incredible experience! The atmosphere was truly special, being right on the edge of the jungle. Waking up to the sight and sounds of peacocks and adorable squirrels made my mornings magical. The accommodation was spotless and beautifully designed, offering both comfort and charm. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, making sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and nature-filled stay in Sigiriya! I'm sure I'll come back to this place again.
