Pride Rock Villa & Tree House

We stayed in the treehouse and it was one of the best experiences of our lives. Such a unique stay, we really couldn’t fault it. The room was nice and cool with a fan and mosquito net, there were plenty plugs and windows around the room for us to look out and feel we were in the middle of the jungle! We loved hearing all the animals in the morning and the peacock that appeared each morning right outside. The hosts couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a comfortable stay - thanks so much for a wonderful, memorable stay. Also, fabulous breakfast!

The place is surrounded by beautiful nature, very nice gardens and partially in the jungle, you can hear the sounds of all the birds, and wildlife. The room is very big and for 10usd is it more than enough. Shower is hot enough, big bathroom. They prepared dinner for me, breakfast and lunch. Very good prices and the food was good.

Its hard to communicate by chat with the owner. She is very nice person but hardly can talk english, i wanted to book a tuk tuk but had to do it on my own as she was not answering me by whatsapp. In place we could communicate good. There was a double bed but the sheet was for a single bed, and the shelf of the room's bathroom was dirty as if they didnt realize to clean it. Overall, for the price is a really good place and I recommend it. This small things could improve the quality without having to do much.

Peaceful, calm, extremely lovely and helpful family, very clean and spacious room, great good fresh and healthy. Just 10 min. walking from the tourist street, 20 min by bicycle (which they rent) from Pidurangala Rock, 20 min. walk from the bus stop. If you are looking for some really relaxing time in nature with an exceptional family, come and stay here. I had the time and decided to stay a night extra, just to enjoy their wonderful atmosphere. Thank you for making my stay unforgettable.

The place is fabolous! We liked nice view from balcony and hut. You are surounded by the nature! So bear in mind that you will have squirels running at ypur roof :D we liked it! Also we had small mouse in the hut but she was friendly and did't eat anything. Bed is comfortable and with clan sheets. The bathroom is open and with hot water. We also liked the hospitality of the owner. Everything was just perfect!

Nothing for us but if you mind mouse and ants book the room not treehouse.

Family was so nice and location was amazing i had peacocks running with chipmonks amongst the papaya and woodapple trees...and i got a woodapple welcome drink, my motorbike was under a small roof and the whoke garden is beautiful and maintained. Lovely. 10 minutes walk from the 'center' where most of retaurants, bars, elephants and view of the famous Sigiryia rock are They prepare dinner and breakfast was included and delicious. A room would easily fit 3 persons one queen and one twin bed, clean shower with warm water, a terrace. It was raining next morning but it made the pathways ever more gorgeous. Thank you

This was a wonderful stay with an even more wonderful family. They make some amazing food! The treehouse is on their garden (but quite private at the back sheltered by trees) and looks amazing. There are peacocks and monkeys running around the garden (or close to it) which felt like a Safari on its own (they stay a good distance away so it feels safe too). They have a cute puppy on premises who likes to play. The location is super close to the centre via Tuk tuk & the treehouse is very comfortable to stay in.

There can be insects in the bathroom but this is to be expected for an open area!

This property will make you feel that you are living inside a village with full peach of mind. Lot of trees are there and this is a big property (the total area of the property) managed by the owner Mr. Chandika Sampath and his wife. I remember; I reached somewhere around 10:00 pm at night and Chandika even guided my auto driver (who picked me from Habarana rail station) how to reach his place. The room was clean and lot of space inside including the attached bathroom. Thanks to the owner and his wife as they were awake at 3:30 am at night the day when I left this property to catch the train back to Colombo to ensure the guest should feel comfortable at any time. He even guided my same auto driver which road to follow so that we can avoid the elephants at night. Thank you Chandika for your superb hospitality. Last but not the least.. the breakfast was really nice. They have a pet dog named "Tiny" who is very friendly. Wifi speed is good.

There is a stand fan available in the room which works well. But you need to manually set the regulator all the time to keep it running. Else, at certain point it will stop. There is no air conditioner in the room which I was aware of before the booking.. so this is still fine for me. I didn't feel uncomfortable with that as I had a good sleep at night and they also provided the mosquito net. The weather was pleasant at night when I traveled to Sigiriya. But I think monitoring the fan regulator from time to time is a hectic tasks for the guests. Else, rest all were fine for me.

Loved the place! I wanted a treehouse experience in Sigiriya, and this spot was absolutely perfect! The little house feels brand new and is incredibly comfortable. They’ve thought of everything, even small details like conveniently turning the porch lights on and off from upstairs and plenty of plugs to charge everything. The house is in a large, beautiful garden, with only one tree house there at the moment, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. I even saw peacocks in the garden—they climbed the trees and watched me! The WiFi was surprisingly good (I didn’t expect to have it), and the family hosting the place was wonderful, going above and beyond to ensure I had a pleasant stay. I stayed for four nights, and it was, without a doubt, the best place I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka.

You are close to the jungle, and at night, you can hear all sorts of noises. I think there were squirrels on the rooftop, moving around in the darkness. During the day, it’s paradise; at night, it’s a different story. However, you can see the stars in a clear sky, which is quite magical. Make sure to avoid leaving the light on near the bathroom at night, as it will attract all kinds of insects.

Hospitality of the owner. They would andwer all of our requests immediately. It is a great family with a cute dog. The surrounding is also magical, you can feel you live among different kinds od animals.
