The room and spa were fantastic and the grounds, bar and the golf facilities are amazing. Really comfortable stay and the EV chargers available is very helpful.

Great customer service from the receptionist and the bar/restaurant staff were friendly too. Our room was upgraded which was very unexpected and much appreciated. The house and grounds are beautiful, it can't be easy looking after a place like that. There are also walks starting from the car park and going into the nature reserve. We had a great view from the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, window tables both times. The bar is also lovely.

We were there on a Sunday afternoon. The spa was very busy. Very dark in the sauna and steam room, could hardly see where to sit. A hen party was hogging the jacuzzi and kids were hogging the pool. Not very peaceful at all. Use on a weekday instead. In contrast to the great staff in the hotel, the spa staff weren't very helpful. The changing area is small, limited cubicles to get changed in and the lockers need an actual lock & key!

Too many stairs and corridors

Beautiful grand hotel, love the architecture, the gardens, bedrooms are beautiful too. Very nice dinner in the restaurant, breakfast too, staff were helpful and attentive. Spa is excellent with outdoor hot jacuzzi and really good sized pool for swimming. Indoor jacuzzi, steam and sauna rooms also nice. Staff again go out of their way to help and accomodate you. Not too far out of town, 25 minute walk.
