Cederberg Studio 12 in Green Point

Location was great.

The cleanliness - nobody has cleaned the place prior to the stay, the bed cover looked like it was turned inside out for the next person, old towels were used as mat for the bathroom (which I wouldn't have even given someone staying in my house). The curtain was torn & was very sheer - It feels as if the neighbouring building can look in & it forced you to wake up the moment light came through. Cleaning service should really be provided for more than two days. Although it has a kitchen - the stove is rusting & I would be concerned about using it. There is construction going on in the nearby building which does not look as if it will be finished in the next few months at the very least.

The property was in an amazing location and everything was clean. Entering and exiting the apartment a was super easy and they even accommodated our bags after we checked out and needed to wait to go to the airport. It was an amazing stay

Was very clean, neat and tidy

The shower layout/design was not ideal, as it caused a fair amount of water to spill over onto the bathroom floor.

A walking distance (during the day) to V&A Waterfront

Unfortunately my sense of smell is very sharp and therefore didn’t appreciate other “persons” smell on the main and decorative pillows displayed on bed. The floor water flooding as a result of taking a shower and not having cleaning service to assist with cleaning up for 4 nights exacerbated my sensitive sense of smell and resulted in my walking into the apartment unbearable later in the evenings. The microwave could be deep clean often to avoid bad odour every time it’s been used. Not sure if the small fridge is old but if you are not a deep sleeper the throughout the night sleep sound is extremely annoying. Noting that this is an apartment and a hotel and considering value for money

The location and parking are the best features.

As other reviews point out, the maintenance is not on par with other places in the same area at slightly less. Light switches behind doors was a first for me. The blinds need to be replaced with proper blockout curtains/ linings so that there is no banging and the apartment is dark enough for a good night's sleep. I don't watch TV, but most folks would want to lie in bed and watch TV when on holiday, the TV is on the same wall as the bed. There are layout issues. And lastly, the duvet was too narrow for the bed by at least 60cm.

The place was Grimey and has not been maintained in ages. This apartment should not be rented out in this state, see the pictures, they will tell the story. The only thing that was good was the location. I canceled my stay and got a 50% refund but the owners should be ashamed and booking.com should remove this from the site as it is a really bad.
