Two the Manor Born 3 bedroom house

Location was great , we attended a wedding and venue was only 20 minutes walking distance.

Only perk was location and this is why I chose it

Where do we start!!! Poor state of repair/decor No instruction info therefore no heating was freezing all visit. Luckily was able to work out how hot water worked. I tiny fan heater v inadequate Another fan heater was dangerous switched on on smoke coming from it!! Kitchen was dirty. Oven filthy has trays with old stains/food on and smelt of old grease. Fridge smelt dirty we didn't want to use. Old dishcloth All Cupboards were half filled with junk and dusty/dirty The 2 Cupboards near kitchen/hallway full of junk rubbish. Bathroom sad rusty shower grout filthy Toilet seat loose and dangerous. Stains on blinds Drawers broken /unusable in bedroom. Outside deck area full of old cigarette butts. Sadly this house was wholey disappointing We wanted to go home.

If you have booked this property I would cancel it, we looked around and decided we couldn’t stay the overwhelming smell of disinfectant for a start and when I saw the kettle was rusty inside! I did message the owner and told him the sad thing is it wouldn’t have taken a lot to get it up to a better standard. He assured me he would do it so I held off putting a review, but I’ve read now he hasn’t improved it. So unless he can prove he has DON’T BOOK

The location of this property is good being near the beach.

The property was attacked and all the windows were hammered in - whilst we were in there. Police attended and we had to evacuate. A terrifying experience. When we arrived there was glass in the front garden from a previous attack...

Great location, very close to the village and beaches 2 off street parking spaces were very useful Spacious accommodation

Awful experience, not as described and the windows were bricked while we were there!

Lawful experience, not as described and the windows were bricked while we were there! We booked this house for a family trip, we requested a cot and a highchair which were both listed and confirmed by the host. When we arrived the host knocked on the door to ask us to pay via bank transfer rather than through the app, this was odd but we did it as he seemed trustworthy. I asked about the highchair and cot and said there was no highchair but he would bring one the next day (he then text every day with an excuse and said he would bring one the next day but we never got one). The cot he told us to “have a look around the house for one” - there are cupboards full of junk and there was no cot. He said he would bring one but never did. The baby had nowhere to sleep or eat and could not be put down anywhere which made the holiday experience very difficult for everyone. The listing states the house has a range of facilities including tv, sky, Netflix, hairdryers, robes, etc etc, it has none of these. There is a tv in every room but they don’t work, the one in the front lounge sometimes connected to sky but was very temperamental. The other 4 tvs do not work, one of them isn’t even near a plug and can’t be moved to reach a socket, it is just there for the photos. The outside area is not useable, the furniture is all broken. On the third night we were there a brick was thrown at the front window, we called the police and the host. The host said he was out of town but would be round at first light to make the window safe, he never came round. The window remained broken for the whole next day despite multiple texts saying someone was coming to fix it, we left with the children as the place was not safe and a baby with no cot was just uncomfortable for everyone. We were offered a refund by the host in cash but he didn’t turn up to give it to us, he offered it via bank transfer and said every day for 11 days it would be with us the next day. We never got a refund.

Fantastic location. Good communication from Graeme on how to access the property/parking. Whilst we were nervous about seeing a lot of bad reviews, I feel some of them were unjust. The property just needs a little TLC and it would be an amazing stay.

The property was tired. Whilst clean overall there were little things like used tissues in the draws and under the bed, broken toilet seat, little things that would make a big difference. The kitchen and front lounge was very spacious and comfortable, however the back room smelt of smoke to the point we didn't use it.
