Rock Mill - Deluxe Studio Apartment with Terrace

Very comfortable studio and very modern Quiet but convenient location

Having to deal with all your check in and keys yourself with no staff on at half past five p m Lack of good instructions on using hob and oven.

We came with our dog and appreciated the outdoor apartment with space outside. The apartment was well equipped and spacious with everything we needed. Small touches like a lovely pet food bowls being provided was super helpful as we actually forgot to bring ours. The host recommended some great walks and pubs for dinner that really made a day special. She was super helpful and friendly. All in all a wonderful stay and we will be back!

It would have been nice to have a gate securing the outdoor spaces for apartments, but it’s a small thing.

I couldn’t make my own ground coffee as no cafetière in studio. No tea pot. A bread knife would be great. Please write how to use the coffee machine in reception. I asked 4 couples passing through the reception and no one could fathom it! Maybe write in “on arrival “ notes that it only takes coins- that would be very helpful. The floor in my studio was dirty, it needed a wash- looks clean but when I mopped something I spilt the cloth was filthy.

Great location, well equipped and nice staff

Dishes were dirty, bathroom was smelly and dirty, even after I asked the cleaning, all dirty dishes were put back to the drawer, bathroom was still dirty. They just cleaned the second time but it was uncomfortable to ask again.

The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend of hiking in the Peaks. It was easy to access, with plenty of parking available, and conveniently located next to a restaurant. The heating controls were a great touch, allowing us to return to a warm and cosy space after a windy day outdoors. Overall, a very practical and well-equipped base for exploring the area.

The cleaning cupboard was well stocked with a hoover and a sweep mop, which was appreciated. However, the hoover was already full and unfortunately didn’t work, even after being fully charged. The sweep mop still had dirt from the previous occupants, which only made the floors messier when we tried to clean. The apartment doors were very heavy and tended to slam shut, which became an issue in the early mornings. Many sunrise hikers unintentionally woke up other guests as they left. Additionally, our apartment was located next to the lift, which emitted a loud beep every time it opened — something to be aware of for light sleepers. Lastly, while not the fault of the hotel, the neighbouring apartment had a dog that barked throughout the night, which significantly affected our sleep.

Very convenient having the back door access specially with 2 dogs. Location is very good plus you can cook your food.

Lovely room as soon as we enter however I think the cleaners would need to be more attentive with cleaning.

Comfy bed, great location

Was very noisy as we were next to the lift. There was a poo bag (full) let on our table outside which put us off sitting there.
