"Central beachfront location with yummy restaurant."

7.0

We stayed here 8 nights as it was amazingly cheap for being right on the beach, the best location to be in Arambol! Very good restaurant and drinks with lounge chairs and umbrellas to chill on the beach. Staff were great, super helpful and friendly. Good vibes all around, especially on DJ party nights!

Our room was quite dirty when we arrived. Our bed sheets had a mysterious yellow crust all over it and the pillows we were given were velvet throw pillows that looked like they hadn’t been washed in a long while. I had to clean the toilet seat as well as the mirror and we used out own travel pillows and sleeping bag liners to sleep. It wasn’t that big of an issue for us though, as we were always out of the room, and it was super cheap.

"Not safe"

NOT SAFE I came as a couple and had to eat alone once at the hotel restaurant. If you have the misfortune of responding to a man who then asks you to “go to your room” and you try to escape but he grabs you by the arm, the staff will not intervene. I must emphasize that I showed no encouraging behavior on my part. The aggressive individual was not removed from the premises, and the police were not called—something many other hotels in the area would handle promptly. It seems the blame falls on the woman, or excuses like “he’s intoxicated” or “this is normal in India” are given. This ultimately defends the aggressor, trivializes the situation, or shows a blatant DENIAL of the issue. The values at this hotel seem to be: • Downplaying violence against women • Normalizing violence against women • Lack of responsibility for guest safety The room was clean, and the staff was otherwise helpful, except for this unsettling attitude toward women. If you enjoy the sea, I recommend not staying near the beach because it’s very noisy, expensive for dining, and you’ll be heavily approached by vendors on the beach (regardless of whether you give or not).

Staff is extremely courteous and Helpful. Ganesh in particular was very helpful. Rooms are decent considering the prices, hence dont expect anything luxury. Beach is just outside the property.

Though the room prices are low , basic room cleanliness was missing. Food is average at the property. Though they claim they have sea facing rooms, that view is blocked completly by trees. Also some of their rooms are on second and even third floors and you need to climb steps, hence if your going with family and have aged parents or children, you might face issues. The property suits solo travellers or boy groups.
