Location, accessibility by public transport. Wifi speed. Toiletries. Nice owner.

The bathroom door cannot be locked from inside, though it is in a shared area with the owner. So, taking a shower or even using the toilet was not comfortable. The room also can not be locked when going out. So although the property advertised as apartment/Inn, it is not a private accommodation. The title should be “room in an apartment with access to a private bathroom”, still the doors must be lockable. Too many unnecessary stuff in the room made the equipments unusable. For example, the small wardrobe was already full by pillows, linen, and no place left for hanging clothes. Even at night when the bed stuff were used, the many pillows had to go into closet. No space available to open luggage, there were a couple of empty drawer, but they were obstructed by an armchair. Too many decorations instead of necessary things like table for dining. I prefer to have a small table (or at least a tray) to eat dinner or tea instead of 10+ nice pillows or paintings. All the space was used by unnecessary things and the room felt much smaller than its actual size. The patio (with table) in Edinburgh with windy weather is mostly unusable. The sofa bed in our opinion was designed for a single person. Two people cannot sleep on that coach. Although we are both slim, one of us slept on the floor. The dishes and cups were located in a cupboard far from the microwave and kettle and all the furniture and many decorations in between! In general, it was a challenge to find a way to find/ use the equipments ( even the wifi password), due to many stuff located in a tiny space. It was like a storeroom and soooo uncomfortable to stay.

Easy bus routes, host had great communication and was very fair

Shower wasn't in room but in shared hallway so felt uncomfortable, room was small and had too much in it that was unnecessary, sofa bed was uncomfortable and small so cut short our stay. Shared garden so didn't want to sit out and chat as would be overheard. No TV or radio. Not beachfront. Couldn't lock door to room when you went out, just a hook catch when you were in.

Landlady very welcoming and friendly, Helped with bus time tables, Nice little place near the sea, and all bus stops, shops in walking distance Liked and would go back again

The sofa bed isn't really suitable for 2 taller people to share, it has arms at the ends so you have to curl up to fit making the narrow width a struggle, I ended up giving my partner the bed and sleeping on the floor for 2 of our 3 nights. The room is too cluttered with extra chairs and footstools leaving very little space to put your belongings. The bedding is kept in the wardrobe giving you nowhere to hang clothes if you want to put the bed away during the day to use the sofa. The private toilet/shower room is not attached to the bedroom it's though a shared hallway next to the front door which makes it feel very exposed going between room and a shower. I don't think this should be sold an "apartment" it's just a room with a kettle, microwave and tiny fridge not big enough for a 500ml bottle. Overall disappointing.

Everything was great - just be aware that you'll sleep on a couch, which is not super comfortable.

We did breakfast ourselves. There was a kettle with coffee and tea. We could go to town by bus. It is located by the. seaside There was a nice garden we did not use. The room was small but pleasantly decorated. The host is welcoming and gave us advice.

As described in listing. The space was very clean and cosy. Welcoming and helpful host. Sofa bed comfortable, as described in listing it’s a small double, fine for us. Frequent Bus service right outside the property into the centre. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Good value for money.
