Seaside Haven Coastal Comfort 200m from the Beach

Spacious including bathroom, wardrobes, fridge freezer. Appreciated having the washing machine, microwave and oven. Literally 2 minutes from the sea side :)

A dining table instead of the extra settee would be more useful in my opinion - for eating and to work at a desk

The beds they were comfy

No hot water for 4 days till I found boiler to turn it up, no cooking implements no saucepans had to buy own then hob stopped working, no plug to wash up, no terstairal tv only streaming and no sound proofing from family above 4 kids a dog so no relaxation as constant noise from 5.30 am till 10pm. I could carry on on my disappointment

Located 10 mins from town. Bars and cafes nearby.

Very poor security on the building and flat. Hall way was dirty and uninviting. Flat needs a bit of TLC. Would not recommend it for young families due to the area.

The flat was easy to find. Keysafe and entry went smoothly. The inside of the flat was clean and comfortable. Good washing machine. The location to the sea front, shops and public transport is good. The local people during the day were friendly. If the flat was in a different area, it would be twice the price. The owner responded quickly when I had a problem with the heating. (someone had stolen the thermostat) Heating didn't come on automatically.

Sadly, in Margate there is clearly a drug and alcohol problem. The flat is in a up and coming area. The outside and entrance hall are run down. There is double glazing, however, no sound proofing. You can hear everything from the upstairs neighbour. No dryer or anywhere to hang damp clothes.

Location is great, close to bars and restaurants.

No hand towels or extra toilet roll provided. Maybe pack some for your stay.

The beds and sofas are comfortable. The TV is good. The kitchenette is quite good.

The street is rundown and not welcoming.The flat is ground floor shared entrance / hallway with first and second floor tenants. Upstairs neighbours argued on stairs during the middle of the night about drugs and alcohol. I had 2 kids with me - our breakfast conversation was about overhearing the neighbours arguing about cocaine. We booked 2 nights but left after 1 night as we did not feel safe. I work with drug users: I don't expect to pay nearly £400 for 2 nights in a property rated 3 star to have the 'lived experience'. The toilet was leaking water onto the bathroom floor. Bath is not adequately clean. Bathroom door handle faulty, so cannot close door in case get stuck inside. The address is number 3, not 1-3. Given the wrong code for the key box. Need to contact manager for WiFi code as not provided. The property manager is easy to contact, but there is a general chaotic feel about this rental.

Booked last minute on the Saturday for the following Monday, host was quick to answer every call. Property was right on the sea front, sofa bed easy to pull out and put away, rooms a good size, could easily done a week there with it has our base. Lots of on street parking and close to the shops.

Nothing not to like, slight issue with the keylock box pin, but host was very quick to answer the phone so was resolved immediately. Was travelling with my parents who are disabled and did struggle with the outside steps has there is no rail but they were fine getting in and out with my assistance. Lots of rugs in the property that did trip my kids up a couple of times, but that was the only issue.
