Seaside Haven Coastal Comfort 200m from the Beach

Very pleasant two bedroom apartment close to the front in Cliftonville, near the Lido. Slight sea view to the side from the open plan seating/ kitchen area. Facilities - smart tv, oven, hob, fridge, microwave, washing machine - more than adequate for a short stay. Key safe at the front meant it was easy to access and leave keys. Comfy bed and nice warm shower in the bath.

I found communication with the host adequate but a bit limited. Having confirmed our preferred check in time via Booking.com, it would have been good to receive something on the day with arrangements for check-in. Having not heard anything by check in time, I used the telephone number I received via booking.com to text the host. He did respond straight away with code for the key safe but we then had to work out how to find it and which apartment to access. The communal entrance area was a bit messy which was a bit off putting at first but, once inside, the apartment was pleasant and we had a comfortable stay.

We'd been let down by another accommodation who had cancelled on us on the day of arrival. Jean Charles was receptive and happy to have us even though it was a very last minute booking. The location is ideal, super central, and the price was excellent. The property was clean, plenty of fresh towels and hot water in the shower. A great property and would stay again.

We retrieved the key from the lock box no problem, but the key didn't actually work in the main door to the building. Each of us tried to make sure we weren't making an error, but the yale looked like it had recently been replaced. Despite being very late Jean Charles answered our calls and tried to assist us getting inside the building on the phone, but it was only through knocking the latch from the other side of the door did we gain entry. Once we were in though, it was perfect!
