Characterful Cottage near the Sea, Beach, Pier & Shops

Great location. Clean. Nice shower. Easy to park on the street outside (may have been lucky but there were a few spots). Enclosed space for our dog. Henry was responsive to messages and friendly - great host.

There is not a great view from the terrace but that cannot be helped. It is also understandable with the location. We still sat out there to relax while the children spotted seagulls.

The character of the cottage, the location to the town, the ease of the transaction. Beds were very comfortable.

The previous occupants bed linen was on a clothes airer in the dining room…. It gave off a damp smell and was not pleasant to look at. Pillows were very flat, need replacing with better quality.

The cottage was nice to look at.

The area it’s in. The alley leading to the property was covered in dog mess and rubbish. Outside the property all you can smell is cat urine and dog faeces. Inside smelt musty and when you open the windows, you’ve got the outside smells coming in. You have to pay to park at the property between 8am and 6pm, the closest free parking is about a 10min walk. The kitchen facilities was poor kettle full of limescale, toaster was rusted. There’s a spiral staircase inside that dosnt feel very safe a is pretty narrow. Ended up coming home early as we couldn’t find another hotel.

The weather ,everything else was good

The property needs cleaning up outside it’s a bit grubby in need of a steam clean and the doors in the house need a look at as very noisy when opening and closing bedroom doors and bathroom doors they need putting in line and couldn’t open any of the windows because they’re all shut and you can’t open them and there was so many cats outside pooping all around the house that the smell was unbearable when you were sitting out on the deck

Very good value, clean and comfortable and very good for exploring, near beach and aminities, perhaps not very suitable for spending long periods of time indoors.

At the end of a lane between two houses, a bit too dark and pokey for my liking, few windows, although very nice balcony off a bedroom upstairs.
